So I got everything going up until downgrading and it ended up crashing half way through and leaving me on a partial downgrade. I can't seem to boot into HBL or even get browserhax to work anymore on this partially downgraded 9.2.0-32U so I wanna know if it's safe to format my SD card and System Reformat the 3ds on the partially downgraded firmware and if so, will it put me back on 10.7.0-32U so I can easily start over?

If I'm remember correctly, lastest version of sysdowngrade should downgrade something related to exploit first.
May be you need to change how to run exploit to the same as 9.2. I once have this problem, intall OOT3Dhax for 9.2 and I can do downgrade again.

So technically just change the payload files to 9.2.0-20U ones now since I'm partially downgraded on that and run sysdowngrader again?
I'm technically just downgrading to the version I'm already on right?

Yep, that's what happend to me when I downgrade my 10.7 N3DS mario 3D land.
Although at that time, browserhax is bit broken so I need to use OOT3Dhax.

I formatted my SD card completely and just started over but w/ 9.2 files. Does that make a difference?
uh, I guess no but just replacing the 10.7 payload with a 9.2 one would've had the same effect, rerunning sysdowngrader will finish the unfinished downgrade

But yeah if you ever get the crash during the middle of downgrade (I did both times I've downgraded systems) just change the payload to a 9.2 one and rerun sys downgrader, dont need to format anything, I'm sure doing so will hurt more than help, after a rerun the downgrade will complete

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

    How are you doing?

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
