Hacking Sys ver 11.0.0.33u question

Hey guys, Just got a new 3ds sys ver 11.0.0.33u

Im a bit new to the 3ds scene so bear with me

I know that with my sys version, I can't use the arm9 hax to install a CFW, I would need another 3ds
(impossible for now unless someone in the montreal area could help me out? ) or a hardmod, but the 3ds is brand new so that's out of the question. Correct me if I am wrong.


Since I've heard rumors about a new exploit for people above 11.0
Should I use the browserhax (If i can?) or any other hax to install the homebrew channel for future use? (this is where I'm not sure what works and what won't etc)

or...

Should I just get sky3ds+ to play my backup?

Get a 2DS for $79.99 and install CFW. It is lower than 11.0. like around 6.6.0 firmware. Then do the DSi Ware downgrade.

You should get an exploit cartridge to be able to use httpwn to buy Legends of Exidia before it's too late (Fieldrunners has been removed already).

If you have the cash and can get a Sky3DS quickly, that will do you fine for an exploit cartridge but the risk is it takes several weeks to get to you and Legends of Exidia could be removed by then (especially with Christmas postal traffic). But it gives you the chance to play some games while waiting for slohax.

Edit: or what rpalmon said! Plus you can resell it when done so it won't cost you much. Or you could make a profit.

Edit 2: note that using a second (old) console will cause you to lose all your data. If you get a second hackable N3DS you can transfer to it first and not lose your data (but at that point you may as well just sell your unhacked console and keep the hacked one).

when you say lose all your data you mean for which console? the one I want to hack (its brand new) or the one that I would use to hack the brand new one?

The N3DS. If it's brand new then you probably don't have any data you care about (Activity Log, Mii Plaza etc). You can back up your save games with JKSM so you don't have to worry about those.

I just ordered the N3DS on Amazon for Black Friday, and I've never had a 3DS before, so I have the same questions. I'm going to go to a few stores tomorrow and see if I can get a Cubic Ninja cart, but if not, are there any kind souls on here that have a CFW 3DS that are willing to help a 3DS noob? Softmodding my Wii was much easier, but I'm sure that's because it is an older system and Nintendo is no longer updating its firmware like they are with the 3DS.
I thought I saw a thread on here somewhere that had a member who was willing to help those who don't already own a CFW 3DS and are on FW 11.0 or higher, but I can't find the thread anymore.

Same story for me lol just bought it for black friday... a 2ds is gonna cost too much (they are 110$ + tx here)

If I could find someone to help out it would be the best way... If not I'm thinking about returning it for the moment

Update... Found Cubic Ninja at GameStop and got a free game in their B2G1 sale. Now, I guess I just have to buy the right DSiWare game to be ready for Slowhax.
