Hi,

I am finally going to install A9LH on my O3DS XL!

I currently have a 9.2 SysNAND and a 11.1 Luma EmuNAND (created by GW tool) without A9LH.
There are 2 folders into Nintendo 3DS (on my SD card): the sysNAND one and the EmuNAND one.

When I'll restore my EmuNAND and use it as SysNAND once I'd installed A9LH, will there still be 2 folders into Nintendo DS folder?

I also wanna say that I'm pretty intimidated with 2.1.0 ctrtransfer and A9LH installation. Are there any risks of brick?

Thanks.

Not sure if anyone has the stats but I'd say an unknown brick of a o3ds is pretty rare and has been for a few months. So follow the guide correctly and you'll be fine.

The 2 folders will be there [well as long as you back them up if/when the sdcard is formatted] - you can safely delete the unused one at the end

Thanks. But how can I know which is the unused one?

The question is too basic to answer
i know this but I don't wanna brick my O3DS since I can't unbrick it...

I do have another question:
When I dumped my SysNAND tickets, I saw some TitleIDs of my EmuNAND games in the name file, is that normal?
Will I have to restore them even though I've moved my Emunand to SYsnand (after A9LH installation)?

Last edited by Samwix,
I've helped a friend install A9LH on a system that was on menuhax + emunand.

1. Backed up save file for all the games (just in case) and all SD file contents
2. CTRtransfer to get OTP and install A9LH (following phailect guide steps)
3. Use Decrypt9 to inject emunand INTO sysnand (keep A9LH)
4. Delete menuhax user profile and all files in the numbered folder that is in /Nintendo3DS folder (it's the smaller folder with all the numbers)

I don't think I had to reinstall all the games, since it's using the same nand and same SD file contents.

Regarding the ticket question, I just followed Phailect guide and deleted the ones as stated.

My friend's 3DS is working fine :)

(edited to reflect better wording)

Thanks. I really have to delete the entire Nintendo 3DS folder?

I see, thanks :)
Just a last question: you deleted the tickets before 2.1.0 ctrtransfer, right?

I was helping my friend's O3DS, and at time of writing this:
"Section II - Backup tickets
  1. Go to “Ticket/Titlekey Options”, then select “Ticket Dump (SysNAND)”
  2. Press (Select) to eject your SD card, then put it in your computer
  3. Delete all .tik files in the /files9/ folder that do not start with “00-“
  4. Leave all the .tik files that do start with “00-“ in the folder
    • If none start with “00-“, then just continue.
  5. Reinsert your SD card into your 3DS, then press (B)"

I deleted 00- tiks and kept the non-00- tiks during CTR Transferred, as described by the guide.
Not sure if it matters to the process, but I followed the guide as said.

(one tip is when in 2.1, don't put your 3DS in sleep mode ever)

You didn't restored them at the very end of the guide?

Nope, I actually didn't.

Once A9LH is installed, I've pretty much went auto-pilot and did other things like install new games etc, since I'm used to using it.

Not installing the tiks didn't seem to affect anything..
Ok. I'll see that when I'd installed A9LH. I would restore everything if I need to.
