There's also another plan you can try. System transfer TO the banned 3DS using an unbanned one. This should knock your banned device ID out of place and replace it with the unbanned one. This is useful because you won't need a hacked 3DS to perform this. I was thinking of buying a used N3DS and trying this.
But at the same time I'm debating on just using the current unban methods (moveable.sed and lfcb) and enjoying my current data as long as possible. What can Nintendo do, REBAN me? If so I'll just move onto plan B, the one I mentioned. I also don't mind losing my data, it would just take a lot of work to restore my game saves and stuff.
As far as I know, transferring your banned data to an unbanned 3DS results in that 3DS being banned, until you restore a nand backup prior to the transfer.
But it should work the same way if you just system transfer unbanned to your own 3DS.
