I'm just curious. Is the game playable enough with the current patch? And by playable, I mean is there any difficulty getting around the game's text (Item descriptions, quest details, etc.) with the current patch? Thank you!

And more power to the AIDA's team who are working on this patch! I'm so looking forward to the full patch coming out! Heck I'm itching to play the game right now!

Edit: Couldn't help myself. xD Got the game and the English patch and the game is pretty straightforward. The addition of a English translations here and there does help out A LOT.

Sorry about the delay! We've got a new public version out, and story will be tackled hard in December. We've also included the 1.05 update stuff into the CPK, so you can use the english patch with the update. As a result, the install instructions are much simpler:

Make sure your game is updated (either through PSN or a VPK)!

After extracting the CPK file (Version 0.80) from the ZIP above, just drop the CPK into the /app/PCSG00351 folder and overwrite the other one. That's it.

Ah, we changed the name so that it overwrites the original 1.05 patch file.

Hi, /app/PCSG00351 seems to be missing when using the cartridge version, I only have /patch/PCSG00351. My game has been updated to 1.05, and I have been using your releases prior to this one. Is there a way to patch the physical version? This translation project is awesome, keep up the great work!

Yeah, the instructions on the http://arks-layer.com/nova.php page aren't correct.

Using the cartridge version, you can't use the english patch with the updated game.

Scenarios:
- Cart game with v1.05 update (PSN): The game won't detect the file on the "app" folder. If you try to replace the file on the "patch" folder, the game will crash. If you move the contents from the "patch" folder to the "app" folder, the game will not run.
- Cart game with v1.05 update (VPK or MaiDump): The game won't run. Just crashes. This is due to the cart being encrypted and the update decrypted (AFAIK).

I tested myself the scenarios above, so...
AFAIK, there's no way to run the cart version with the v1.05 update AND the english patch together... Not with those instructions at least...
