Hey Guys,

I want to modify some textures (for translating purposes) in Taiko no tatsujin Tokumori! for Wii U.
Unfortunately I don't know how to edit the .nut files.
I want to extract them, edit them and inject them back.

Anyone who can help me with this?
Anyone who can explain how to do that step by step?

Try this .NUT to .GTX converter. It was originally developed for Super Smash Bros., but the developer says it should work with this game as well.

You will need QuickBMS to use the script, and you will also need TexHaxU to convert the GTXs to DDS.

TexHaxU is capable of converting DDS back into GTX, and QuickBMS has an experimental feature that basically runs a script in reverse, though it's very hit and miss. If you're lucky, it will work to convert the GTXs back into NUTs.

Okay, used the script and got this <<attachment>>
the other five files are the same (128 bytes). Don't know how to rebuild the original files out of them :(

The included batch scripts with TexHaxU sometimes fail, as there are many different types of GTX.
You'll have to play around with the executable by hand, to find the combination of settings that works best.

<snip>

Nevermind, I don't care enough about Taiko No Tatsujin to do everything myself.

If OP can't figure out how to use the tools I linked him previously, then he shouldn't have opened up this thread in the first place.
