No, you don't understand, they are already banned, there's nothing much to lose. The bans are indeed hyperbans. We just found out a few days ago that changing said friend seed does indeed unban online play. It does not unban miiverse or eshop. Online play is what most people are concerned about
exactly. i don't give a fuck about my eshop and miiverse privileges, i just want to be able to wonder trade and play monster hunter online.

Well then using a public LocalFriendCodeSeed_B wont change the fact that you are banned.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

cant wait for the post in 2weeks!
"MULTIPLE 3DS BANNED WITH SAME SEEDCODE" lmao
Until the 15 days have been passed, no one can say for sure if the 002-0102 will be perma, in the past was always a 15 days for first offenders, I wait and see, if perma I already have the money spared for a new CTR.

The majority give not a single flying fuc... to the 002-2812 ban.

Can banned consoles trade locally?
I have my brother's 3DS that's non-hacked, so I was thinking of just putting my current save to the game cart I'm getting the 23rd and then in case I need to use the pkhex or freebank just trade locally between the two consoles.

Banned consoles can still use local play.

Nintendo receives data of your play activity, purchases on said console, tickets, IP, mac address, sys ver, etc we can't hide what we do unless we're always offline the moment you connect they have your number

"Send console info through SpotPass?"

Yeah, guys, Nintendo can tell who's a hacker and who isn't. The 3ds Scene has been effectively shut down.

Jesus.................................

Then we're all fucked because freeshop appears in the activity log
They may, or may not be able to collect data about those things. We don't know, unless we're Nintendo engineer or senior managers.
However, the real question is, will they act on it or not ? That's the important thing. Nintendo always knew pirates could play online games early, but not until now that they decided to act.

even if it were true and nintendo banned us all, how does that 'effectively shut down' the 3ds hacking scene? you know people were able to hack consoles that didn't have online functions, right? just because we can't wonder trade doesn't mean we all have bricks.

please go away, man. you're adding nothing to the discussion here. /hbg/ is just right over there.

yea thats what puzzles me is why now do they take action. was it really because of that hacker pissing off Masuda?

Because they AREN'T. Nintendo banned all the people who were online before release date. Time and time again people have said "i'm banned" and every single time these people said they played online before release date.

the thing is they never did it before. They did not ban all the other times.

That can be explained.
Pokemon Sun and Moon is potentially their biggest release EVER on 3DS. But somehow, some random guys leaked the game 10 days earlier, and god knows hundred of thousands of pirates were playing the leak illegally. Nintendo were pissed. Pissed Nintendo decided to punish people.

That same copy that thousands of pirates where playing illegaly online at the same time and somewhat saying are safe to keep....I think that about sums it up.
