Hardware Nintendo 64 or Gamecube controller till Wii?

Hello,

I do not like the Wii controller to play Mario Kart etc ....
I want to buy a Nintendo 64 or Gamecube controller but which one fits directly into the Wii without the need of an adapter?

if your wiii has the ports on the side (with the memory cards)
the first wii's can play gamecube games

nintendo 64 controller conector is totally different... i don't know where you got the idea that a nintendo 64 controller would fit the wii. i know both are round plugs but they look really different

you got plenty of alternatives actually...
you can also get a pro controller or a controller that plugs to the wii mote

the idea with the Nintendo 64 controller is that it is very familiar, I've played a lot of Mario Kart on the Nintendo 64, and it is cheap.

I saw two versions of the Nintendo 64 controller, one is USB and the other is round and looks to fit the Wii but I dare not order because I'm not sure.

You could buy an adaptor to use your n64 controller http://raphnet.com/products/n64_to_wii/index.php

But it's not worth it. Just use a gc controller.

the usb one is a modification, i don't think mario cart supports usb controllers nativaly

BTW, where you talked about that there is memory card slot. I did not know that there were memory card for Wii. If the Wii already has internal memory so you should use the memory cards?

the older wiis got gamecube controllers and memroy card ports

if your wii doesn't have theese, you should look for a pro controller like this one:

You need to use the memory cards for legit gamecube games. For nintendont you can use emulated memory cards that save to your sd card.
