I have an old 2ds with homebrew through ninjhax with Save Manager and JKSM installed. Will I be good to go or do I need something else. I will be getting the physical copy of Sun and Moon tomorrow and the 2DS version is 9.2.0-0U

Pretty much, you are all ready to go. Just use JKSM and export the save and go immediately to whatever save editor that EXISTS on PC for Pokemon.

Do you use CFW? because saying that you have 9.2.0-20U, confuses a bit.

I'm not entirely sure what that means. I bought a separate 2DS a little bit a go and someone helped me install homebrew through cubic ninja from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/just-bought-a-2ds-need-help.434306/#post-6528074 and I've been using that with XY/ORAS to edit saves.
Well, there's not a save editor for Sun/Moon yet on the Homebrew(3DS), what you can do is to use JKSM to export the save and use PkHex on the PC. That way you can edit whatever you want.

If your not using luma or any cfw (or don't know what they are) then STOP IMMEDIATELY AND INSTALL A9LH.this doesn't affect pokemon. But it allows you to do ALOT. Someone link pialects guide tho i can't atm

Yes moving it to my PC with PkHex was what I wanted to do, so I should be all set?

Is this needed? I don't want to do any further messing around right now if I don't need to

If i follow the guide, would I be able to download and install sun & moon? I'm currently running on Old3DS 10.5. I have no CFW.

That guide will install a cfw. The rom is on that iso site (google it) The site needs an account

I literally don't know what any of that means. Sorry what would I have to do to get that
A9lh is a kernel exploit meaning you get fill access to 3 D's system files, like rooting android or jailbreaking an Apple device. A 3dsx is when you boot into homebrew then simply tap the app. Installed as a CIA means it's literally in your home screen when you turn it on

What do I need to do to get from what I have now to that? I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions I really don't know much

Is you can't get a9lh your self, you can probably go for menuhax yourself although extremley outdated, or give it to you're friend and tell him set up a9lh. Hell know what to do

And is no problem

But menuhax is safer for not breaking things of you want basic homebrew. Pirating games needs a9lh or an emunand
