Hacking [Question] DSiWare Downgrade w/ o3ds

I have an o3ds on the latest firmware and I've asked someone else to downgrade it for me as they have a hacked n3ds. But I read that in order to use Dsiware to downgrade you need to do a system transfer with a o3ds to o3ds. Will I be unable to downgrade or is the system transfer an optional step?

System transfer is a required step. You are unable to downgrade as A) you don't have a hacked old 3DS with CFW and B) you can't transfer from n3DS to o3DS.

I do believe you're stuck, you cannot complete a system transfer from N3DS > O3DS
