Guys just called Nintendo and a supervisor straight up told me it was a perma ban with the 0102 error. Didn't tell them anything about the 128 error I got but he still said it was permanently banned

Actually, does anyone know the Usernames of the Miiverse guys who got 022-2812 before us?

I'm wondering if they can do online play

I'll take their word, since they've been banned a long time now

Did no one try changing one byte of those last 8 of the seed? Luma stubs the RSA checks, so unless Ninty has a server-side database of valid seeds it might work.

I think all we tried until now was to pretty much delete the CodeSeed and see if it gets regenerated by the console somehow. I dont think anyone has tried modifying the bytes at the end though.
Might be worth a try.

Someone how at every request sent apparently Nintendo sends a fcdcert to your console and he tried modifying it
I quote:
"I get 002-0121 if I replace my FriendCodeSeed_B with garbage. I've recieved the same when changing my fcdcert to garbage. FriendCodeSeed_B originated from that??"

We dont know for sure it might be a coincidence tbh. Guess someone should try to change one of the last eight bytes then, because all we did was to create a completly new CodeSeed by either deleting it and seeing what happens or (not tried yet) creating an emuNAND partition, formatting it and checking if the CodeSeed was changed somehow or generated anew.

I don't think they would care. Just like they didn't care about thousands of people that got banned earlier. They would just ban you anw.

My point is that they don't care about the date you started since you could easily have the wrong date from playing things like ACNL.

Dude, there is no proof yet that it's a perma ban. A huge majority of the people here are first time offenders when it comes to be banned online. Every first time is always temporary, not permanent.
Actually there is quite a bit of proof. involving chat/email screenshots and transcripts from nintendo. but they keep getting buried. (queue that Thirty3Three guy calling me a fucktard because he can't accept it.)

Hey I have a nand backup from my old 3ds that I sold a while back. Would I be able to extract what I need from that to inject it into my new 3ds?

Wat, people are replacing the file entirely now with one from another 3ds, so evidently they don't need to be linked.

can it not be checked server side? (asking, to prevent any further banhammering)

doesn't work; got 002-0121

could be an unrelated checksum or something.

My point is also that they would just ban you anyway, because that is one of the ways to detect people playing before release date. Sure, they may ban a few legitimate users in the crossifre, but would they care ? They already didn't care about legit people in this ban wave anw (as some of the posts in this thread stated).
