I've been playing Sun since last thursday, I haven't used any online features for it or any other game. What will happen if I go online on the 18th? Would nintendo recognize that I've had the game beforehand and ban me?? I know it's annoying that noobs come here to ask questions, so sorry.

Thank you. But has Nintendo ever relied on the activity log to ban? I'm new to the 3ds world lol. Btw, have you turned on your WIFI lately?
I've never heard of anything like that. I just went online with MK7 on my 3DS just fine, and I have the sun and moon cia's installed. I have never had the WiFi, or even game sharing in the friends setting, turned on while playing the game. I HAVE used the WiFi for other games in the past, with those cia's installed.

i can still log onto miiverse, but to the people just trying to be assholes on here.... just leave. we already have enough stress today

Activy log should not matter. People been having Pornhub and other Homebrew apps on thier log and as thier favourited title and nothing happened as of yet.

Sorry, the pages are piling up, didn't see your reply. Could they just search for Moon Sun activity this time only?

Yeah, read the last 15 pages and you have someone saying that they got the same error code and all they did is have A9LH without even downloading/installing Sun and Moon. The 3DSHACK reddit is also getting questions on "How to remove CFW/A9LH" on thier Q&A thread. Its a big mess.
Can play just fine on Omega Ruby from when I bought it from the eshop. Seems like people are getting bans and some are not.

Thing is that Log activy is also generated from physical copies of the game I think. Nintendo are being careful not to ban someone with a Physical version of the game. Also, remember they will have to look through the log of millions of people around the world. I dont think its an option for them.

someone should just call nintendo support and ask them whats going on, if the ban is permanent or not
I've called the North American branch, they seemed more confused than anything. They asked for an ID code off the cartridge, I said I can call them back when my "kid" get's home from school.

Anyone actually have a street-date broken copy?

Looking through the files needed for an unbanning now.... my head hurts. I've no idea where to start looking XD

Luckily I'm not banned. I'm able to go online and access eshop and download demos, I've played moon for about 5 hours and the closest I came to online is the plaza thing but I never actually connected to online(in fact I ended up there as an accident and couldn't leave until I finished the tutorial) I was scared that was enough to ban me but apparently not. Also my wifi was ON the entire time I never once turned off wifi or anything just never physically connected to the online features in moon.

Hopefully that puts some people who are stuck working or at school minds to rest(even though I know it won't lol) until they get home and check if they are banned themselves but again if you didn't access online features the chances of being banned are looking pretty slim.

They do but i doubt anyone will give you a carts serial number to a stranger on the internet. You can wait till your version comes on the 18th and pretend you got it early and got banned. They might re-move the ban.

Lol dude, call them and say you cant play any game online, dont say anything about SM, if they ask for id code just tell them one from a cartridge you own, or tell them you only have eshop games

Same thing. I was panicking and thinking i fucked up when i couldnt leave the Plaza. I even thought of turning off the console but remebered i didnt save till i started the game.

You know..... now that he mentions it.... did they ask for an ID for sun / moon? Did they specify at all?
