thank you for this version.

Do you want me to add it to the first post, or it's better to wait for the official release?
Right now this is only a RC. Let's wait for a release. I wanted to have some feedback from the users about upsides and downsides of the channel version.

Ok, I updated the first post to add some rpx compatibility, I didn't link to your RC. I'll add the link when it's officially released.

I hope I correctly covered the installation step for the channel version.
Just wup installer over a sigcheck firmware?

edit:
I might add that some apps will not work properly (ddd)

One stability fixes are made, can we expect a better looking channel? Is it possible to just take the resources from the wii homebrew channel?

Hey guys,

I though about it again and in my opinion there is nothing wrong in posting the already encrypted package. It does not include any copyright content or information in it and I am not distributing any copyright keys with that as the user has no chance to get any keys out of the package (besides you can't copyright keys anyway, but that another discussion).

So here is the first RC package of the HBL channel. You can install it on cfw sysnand or rednand. I tested this with installation to rednand mlc.

As Maschell pointed out above you will need new iosuhax with boot movie patches.

Whose source will we need to compile it from? Your Github, FIX94's github?

You can try my personal mirror: http://wiiu.insanenutter.com/

I've updated the code.bin's, however an unable to test until this evening.

Awesome, and hopefully other sources will update theirs. Failing that, I can probably at least get files to download if I ever self-host :P

I'm sure others will soon, dimok's Github has all the files you need.

Just be warned if your on a modern versions of Windows you might well have to disable Windows Defender, or add an exception to the folder you wish to download the files to for self hosting, otherwise you'll probably find they get deleted!

Don't have Windows 10, just 7, so I do use Microsoft Security Essentials, in the mean time I'll be using online methods until I can get an exploitable DS game/self host files set up :)

Alright the first bug in the channel version was found by some people. Thanks for reporting. The transition screen to system menu was hanging when homebrew launcher was only entered and exited without launching any homebrew.

I fixed it and here is RC2 of the channel:

The source code on the forks was until today almost identical for iosuhax. The only difference was that on FIX94's branch some part of iosuhax was just left out and not compiled in. This is now also possible on my fork with a special make target, "make cfw".

I see, so now I need to compile yet another image, oh well lol.

You don't need to. FIX94's fork will work too (though I am not sure if it includes the boot video patches Maschell added a while back). The only change I know of at this moment is that I added a splash screen on my fork for iosuhax. I think this is not yet on his fork. Other than that you don't need to compile a new image except if the fork is missing the boot video patches then you have to.

I don't know, I'm having enough trouble as it is trying to figure out how to use Wupclient to download the XML for the DS game, uploading it (and the custom icons). As well as trying to figure out if that Train Your Brain in Minutes is the actual Brain Age game we need.

Yes that is the game. Brain Age: Train your brain in minutes is the correct one for USA consoles.

I was wandering myself, do you install this new homebrew channel on IOSUHax img or Rednand Img, is this only for Rednand at the moment?I didn't want to make a mistake with systemnand. Thanks @dimok for the channel.

Last edited by Reecey,
The channel version requires signature check patched, so if you install it on sysNAND you will have to launch the CFW before launching the channel.

Like already mentioned 3 or 4 times you need the newest fw.img (okay, now its already 1-2 weeks old)
