How come one of my N3DS XL has more free icon slot space than the other?

M main unit is crippled when it comes to the amount of icon space than my other unit.

Just download more eshop games. It will expend automatically.
Max titles in all cases = 300

it didnt work. i downloaded a lot of stuff from the shop now i have no spaces left, its not expanding. is there something else that can expand the slots?

i know i can make folders, its just that it bothers me why one unit has so many slots and my other doesnt. i do have folders theyre filled with VC stuff. i wanted to keep the 3ds stuff on main screen

I figured it out. Some modified themes have more slots than others. I had to load a theme that has these extra slots then change the theme to anything i want and the extra slots become permanent.

OK, good to know. The best theme to use for that... is the "none theme"!

But how can a theme affects icon slots? All my themes are able to scroll all the way to the right, even custom ones.

This is because you got a theme from the theme shop, just get a free theme like sonic to get more space. (Or buy one)
