Currently I have an EU region 3DS, and want to try playing Pokémon Sun/Moon in Chinese. Will my console be able to display the text?

It's to my understanding that TW region 3DS consoles have the Chinese character set data added as an extra part of their firmware whereas other region systems don't. Is this limited to system-only Chinese text, or does that mean games will also require a TW system to display Chinese text even if the game itself is region-free?

Thanks for any responses.

If it's just pokémon sun/moon, yes, you can play it in chinese on your eur 3ds.

Presumably games released exclusively in the TW region won't work, and it's just Pokémon that has the Chinese text data embedded in the game files?
Indeed, in pokémon X, Y, Alpha, Omega, Sun, Moon:
all the font is in the game, and the keyboard is not the 3ds one, but a custom one. So yeah, with pokémon games, it's just an exception.
