Hey guys, so I haven't touched my two OG 3ds after getting rxTools nightly build back in early May-June. I haven't seen any post about rxTools anymore so I was wondering if Luma is the new best option and is there a guide to back up my saves and switch over from rxTools to Luma

There are actually several great CFWs
http://gbatemp.net/threads/faq-what-cfw-is-best-for-me.428509/
But you can either simply delete the files for rxtools and replace with the files for CFW of your choice
OR
Check out A9LH for the best option for CFW entrypoints

This was exactly what I was looking for, Thanks!

I do have two question, is it possible to back up my saves from my EMU and how safe is
A9LH for old3ds AND new3ds

( I have about 5 ds's in my house from my friends that all want to make the jump with me)

You can use this this to back up your saves
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-jks-savemanager-homebrew-cia-save-manager.413143/
Although that's not really needed. Switching CFWs has no effect no your NANDs. CFWs are only a means of reading the information and patching the NANDs, it does not effect games, saves, homebrews, NNID, ect.
As well if you are going with A9LH, you can flash your emuNAND to your sysNAND and it will carry over all the information with it.

This is a really weird question but is it possible to completely switch emuNAND systems between two devices for ex

Red 3ds has Data 1
Purple 3ds has Data 2

Is it possible to give Red 3ds Data 2 and Purple 3ds Data 1

The reason I ask is because one of my 3ds haves a charger problem so I was going to swap it with my little sisters

You have to do a system transfer and both systems need to be hacked.
But I really can't find a guide for this.
