Get a WAD Manager.
Install the WAD using the Manager.

No issues whatsoever by installing it on my vWii? IIRC I had to get wads specially for vWii for Forwarders and other VC games.

I don't think so. I installed WarioWare on my vWii with no problems.

Basically like someone said, you install homebrew channel, then use a program like multi mod manager, it allows you to install WAD files which if you find contra rebirth would be with that extention in the file. Then simply copy to sd/usb and install it, that is all, just make sure you have enough room on the system, wii only has 512MB Storage and it still apply on wii u, you can copy to sd card and load it from there once installed to save space.

Installing WiiWare games is exactly the same method on vWii as on the real Wii.

It's forwarders and IOSs that require special versions, as vWii has certain changes that screw up the originals.
