Yeah, thats why we need rednand for them. with rednand, we can do what USB method couldn't.

Sounds like they are signed and they require a modified NAND image to allow them to work: redNAND or sig patched sysNAND....

A fake title.tik is crated/generated with title ID + title key added so that it can be installed on redNAND only. Think that answer's your question.

You can use a patched fw.img with wupserver included (you don't need a 64GB SDCard or a NAND Dump)
You just need to put the patched fw.img in the sd_root and launch CFWBooter, and now you can install your title with wupclient.py

Just tried it with Shovel Knight and it worked like a charm

You can use WUPServer with redNAND, yes.
Get your Wii U's IP and use WUPClient on your PC.

Yeah, works similar as if you installed something directly with the Wii U.

no, no redNAND it's a custom firmware that contain the wupserver payload, launch the patched fw.img with CFW Booter, once you're in the Home Menu, you can use wupclient.py

There are two CFWs for now: Dimok's (which has rednand + sigpatches + wupserver) and Fix94's (wupserver only in sysnand, maybe sigpatches). Neither is inherently better than the other, as both have their place depending on what's your current goal

To use rednand (whether you want to run it or just backup your sysnand) you must of course have a SD bigger than your nand (the advertised size = mlc, plus 512MB = slc, plus 512MB = slccmpt = wiimode, plus some margin since your "64 GB" SD really doesn't have that much space available, plus space for the usual fat32 partition)

Worth remembering that rednand doesn't currently emulate eeprom, so keep the tubehax even on rednand or you might brick the other nand if you update one!
