Well, i know there´s no way yet to get a higher memory above 64gb, but i was wondering about the Game cartrige storage.

Well, each game is a kind of a memory card with the game files encriptated, right? If the people trying to figure how to use a cheaper memory stick try to go the other way and make a game card with a slot to micro sd.
It´s not for vita backups of course, but this space could storage homebrew and emulator roms, once the vita games install dir cant be changed. Then you can put all your roms in one place and use the memory stick to vita backups.

Well, is only a concept. I know it´s more complicated than this to make this possible, if can be done.

Only if they can reverse engineer the card and add henkaku memcard emabler... but that a lot to do. Unless they make a memcard attachment to the real one to extend outside of it to connect any memory card...

We can see the game card files under vita shell? And if we could write files using a adaptation to read micro sd with this opening... Yeap. It will need more than the concept.

If someone willing to write a program to do it... anything possible if you find the correct exploit and apply the correct conversion/signed codes. Look at the ds/3ds using the console hardware and emulate the gamecard or the few lower firmware custom firmwares. It will take time and patience and people shouldn't harass others to make it when the programmer don't have to.

In a sense vitamin and maidump see the game card so adding it to vitashell is about adding a few...or more complex coding to it

As for any adapter... I would suspect that any release would be hard to come by if someone do make one. Such as vitagamecard microsdslot, vitamemcard to usbport or microsd reader, or anything each time they go on sale the site will be taken down, scammers, and other things that happen to those site that sell things like that.

Too much programing, understanding, reverse engineering... a group of programmer that have too much time on them or someone to get paid for it.

Yeap, it´s the same way of gateway, but instead of vita games, the micro sd will be used as storage for another files. Movies, roms, etc.

Dude, i have a 64gb memory card. The topic is only a concept for a alternative storage. It can be useless or not, is only a idea.

Vita just got hacked, relatively speaking. It's not unreasonable for grey companies to begin to r&d that stuff if they believe that there is demand on the market. Whether or not demand exists is a different subject obviously.

there sadly wont be a high demand for it as psp was known to be hack on a hard level.... darkalex and others.... so the bs adapter that come out of the memory card would be stupid... from the game card is another thing but that also wont come out anytime soon or if ever. Vita atm i would personally say it hacked at a semi-hard level... since you need to run the exploit after every reboot except for VHBL but to obtain anything I mention there too many complex things to.

Open source and hardware things like rashberrypi have many possibilities so the "if it could be done, it would have been done already" is not always true. I bet if sony gave us the program code you will see no tomorrow to all the dev/programmers could do to the vita.

I like to tinker with stuff so I would have love to see the stuff I mention.

Also I have 32gb vitacard =| lol who would love for those card to get corrupt easily.... Not I >.>

Well, its not out and out impossible with the current state of Vita hacking, but the original Sony Kernal won't allow it to be useful for anything but 1 game each Micro SD card, and making a swapping card like the Sky3DS isn't physically possible without making the card stick out of the slot.

I think using the game cart slot makes a lot of sense; since it's readable from a hacked vita. Back up games through the cart slot via FTP, then load them onto a MicroSD card along with homebrew. Genius! Just takes someone with the know-how and means to do it; to actually.. do it!

appreciate the enthusiasm, but there is way more going on software-side than you are giving the vita credit. namely the handshake the Vita does with a game card also checks for a valid licence and proper encryption, HENKaku might get past those checks for files already on the Vita but it doesn't bypass that hardware handshake, and I doubt it bypasses licence checking done over the Game Card slot.
