but the instructions on the page for the WUPinstaller said to use an extra folder and i was also told earlier that i could use extra folders
Are you using my y1.1 mod posted below?
Also when using the sub folders in install method, there should not be any files in install.

Just to be clear you're throwing the files into /install/ directly, right? Make sure you don't put them in an additional folder inside of the install folder.
With my mod, you can put multiple folders in the install folder. Each would have the files that normally went in update.
You can then select which to install.

I didn't make an extra folder - and I have successfully installed multiple games. Why don't you try without that step and see if it solves your issue?

just tried didnt work :( . i got smash installed earlier with using a folder, idk whats happening.

Some issue with DKTF (DONKEY).
I did it twice, using both Nusgrabber and Jnustool, i have 71 files for 10.8 GB.
BUT in wupinstaller it's just 2703.8 MB and at 100% it stopped (no 300% or so) and the game isn't installed....
And no install error code
It's just like some .app files has been forgotten... strange ?
Similar here, but with Yoshi's Wooly World.

@Cyan, please help me.
I was trying to install MK8 and Splatoon to system memory, with WUD 1.1 from OP, and got the 0xFFCFFE9 error code with both. What am I doing wrong?
MK8 I got from that drive folder, and Splatoon I downloaded with NUSgrabber and used premodded tik, from that iso site

EDIT: found what it was, the internet was blocked with Tubehax

Just tried Monster Hunter EUR once again, and once again it stopped at around 2800mb and threw up the 0xFFFFF825 error again, still no idea what it means, and it seems I'm the only one trying this game besides the uploader from "that" site.

Ohh? the installer is accessing or checking internet?
Titles can't be installed if the console is offline?
I'm curious to know what access is done, if it's only a check to see if internet is enabled, or if it actually send/receive any data.

Thanks for that error code, I'll add it to first post too.

If someone wonder why New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U is over 12gb large, its because of the bonus videos, they need nearly 11GB... -.-

Oh so my error code and that guys error code are completely unknown at the moment? Any way we can find out what they mean?

yeah, everybody have tubehax, so it can't be that.
well, the only thing I did was go to config, internet, made a new connection and then went back to HBL and WUP installer. Did not even turn off the console. Strange

does anyone know how to fix this error ? 0xFFFCFFEA :( i no matter what i do i cant get passed it or install anything anymore

Indeed. WUDs haven't really been necessary for a few days now. People can just boot the IOSU exploit to dump the remaining missing tickets (and then once we have redNAND with CFW that has no sig checks, we can just use cearp's funkeycia (a program originally tailored for the 3DS, but it's being adapted to the Wii U soon)) to generate fake tickets and install those instead.

I'm still on the fence with the CFW boot method, as I'm not exactly good at using Python commands  I did get the tickets needed, yes, but I checked JNUS and there's no title for games like Super Mario 3D world for some reason, not entirely sure why. The tickets according to the source are said to be altered and prepped for USB installation, my question, however, is how do I know if the tickets are safe to use and if they're wrong, installation will merely fail and nothing more..? Just want to be sure before I install a game. Good thing WUDs aren't needed anymore, and I look forward to the ticket generating app :P
