So I have a quick little question. A few years ago or whenever it was when I homebrewed my wii, I installed DML because I didn't have that many games and a 64GB SD card was more than enough to store everything. But now I have a bunch of games I want to put on my wii but the SD card is full. So, I need to switch to a bigger flash drive for USB.

But I have DML and not the regular USB DM. It's been a while since I messed with this stuff so I wanna ask the pros, what is the safe way for me to take off DML and put on DM?

Some details:
I have a compatible USB drive already.
I'm using USBLoaderGX.
I have a wad manager and all that.
I do have priiloader and a backed up NAND.
Everything is working with the SD card as of now, but I can't load games from USB. (Why I'm here)

Thanks! :)

You can just install one over the other as it will just overwrite it but i recommend you just turn that portion of the wii back to stock and just use nintendont instead. No need to install wads to do that.

You should just use Nintendont.

Download the application, put it under /apps like your normal homebrew applications. Then just change your USB Loader GX to use "Nintendont". Then, make sure your first primary partition of your HDD is FAT32, create a /games folder, and rip all your GCN discs to that folder.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Sounds good, I'll try Nintendont. If all else fails I'll just install DM. Thanks for giving me some options. :)

Sorry, looks like part of my message was cut off.

I tried to say in the post before that you will need to simply change USB Loader GX's default GCN loading mode to "Nintendont". It supports it, and it supports it very nicely thanks to the efforts of @Cyan

Nintendont is pretty nice, you should check out their feature list.

The massive controller support is what makes it great. It's the only way to use Gamecube controllers via USB on a WiiU, and it has PS3/PS4 controller support along with a ton of other USB controller options. Along with a screenshot feature, a feature to quit out of a GCN game and return to loader, and a reset feature.

Holy crap, that sounds amazing. The main issue i had with DM was I had to get up to turn the Wii off to switch games which was way too much work. xD

So anyways, I installed Nintendont and it works great launching from USB and SD, one question though, where do I find the option to change to Nintendont in USBLoaderGX? I can't seem to find it, sorry to be a bother.

I was already running that version (That's the same link I used to install USBLoaderGX yesterday), but I went ahead and deleted everything related to USBLoaderGX from my SD card and I started from scratch. Seems some files from an old attempt were conflicting or something.. I dunno.

Okay, never mind. Something strange, when I boot from the homebrew channel everything works fine, but when I use the forwarder from the Wii menu I no longer have any of the Nintendont options. When removing the files from the SD card I guess I missed something? Or maybe I need a different forwarder? I'm gonna troubleshoot for a while.

OHHHHHH I see, I was using a channel, not the forwarder. Heheheh....
