I'm talking about the technical capabilities of the chipsets they'll use.
That's why i used android as an example, i haven't seen a portable GC/Xbox/PS2 emulator done with those chips or similar...

I know, but if we go for that logic, we can easily affirm that Pica200 (3DS's GPU) is not capable of handle post-proccesing goodies like shadows, depth of field and more. And yet we got Revelations, IronFall, Kid Icarus and more.

Even if the chip information is confirmed, we should wait to see what Gimmick.CoNintendo will do with that. I don't think they're going to be interested on Gamecube VC, but dreaming doesn't cost anything.

Disappointment. that's it's cost.
I like to keep things realistic.

I want it to be reasonably priced. To me, this looks like a handheld capable of playing Wii U level games and the option of playing them on the television. I have a feeling the specs are still going to be limited compared to other consoles since the tablet has to be capable of playing the games (and not just streaming them from the console) if the promo is any indication, and I really am not expecting much beyond Wii U capabilities. Pretty awesome for a handheld, but still limiting for a console. If the pricing is in line with handhelds, I'd likely go for it. If priced more like a console, I'll have to be impressed a bit more before I'll bite.

I'm already sold, this looks awesome.
It better have Smash Bros.
I'd like lots of RPGs.

3ds backwards compatibility (without 3ds, of course) would be cool, but not really that important to me. But if it does have it, I'd be even cooler if it could do something similar to what Citra does and display higher resolution graphics.

IIRC so far no official virtual console has been shown with graphics upscaling, everything plays in stretched mode or 1:1 either wiiU VC or 3DS VC. A stretched out 3ds would look as ass stretched out to 1080p.

Amiibo support (most likely)
Wii u backwards compatible so I don't have to get a wii u solely for the Zelda remakes
Lots of storage
Lots of 3rd party games
I want a Dragon Quest game for the Switch in the West.

Region free please!!

I just like the idea that I can play console games everywhere and anywhere. I'd honestly prefer if nintendo would pick a single system handheld or console and focus on it rather then there divide an conquer thing they've got going cause it's obviously not working(sarcasm). Just look at their market cap and with the money in the bank they've got its likely that they don't care if they lose a few people to the other companies. Also Whats with the whole higher def and more power equals better system thing, after all some of the most played games out there don't really have highend graphics. While some of the higher definition games seem to crap out boring stories and lack luster gameplay.

Give me a proper story and some decent gameplay and I'm satisfied with some below top notch graphics. Although this is coming from a player of visual novels and fan of books and Manga so who knows maybe I look for more then just visual effects and stimulus.

An actual way of playing my Wii U/3DS VC library without buying them again. The NNID and Nintendo Network should put an end to the whole "games tied to console" business but I hope they don't do something like pay 30 cents again to transfer from Wii to Wii U.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a clean break and there won't be a way to play 3DS games on the Switch because of the single screen.

I'm hoping the dock has a compartment in the back which houses a 500gb HDD and dropping the console into the dock gives a, "what do you want to transfer to the handheld to play" option.

3DS backwards compatibility, maybe wii u backwards compatibility (maybe its too much to ask for), ds cartridge support, gba vc, snes vc, upgradeable memory, a good battery life, gamecube and wii games compatibility (hopefully), and hackability.

I just had a sudden flash. Would it be possible that the Nintendo switch use Android OS, considering the tablet hardware?
They *can*. It's completely possible, but I doubt it.
People will find a way to root it, and I'm pretty sure Ninty are doing their best, so the Switch won't be exploited as easily

Oh god let's hope not. Unless it's vanilla android, android wastes too many resources by doing... nothing. It wouldn't be the optimal way of doing it. :(
