the title says all,
I'd like to know if any epub reader for wii u is planned.
Also, a manga reader with zoom option would be appreciated too

There's nothing like that in the works as far as I know. Everyone's got projects they're working through but it's mostly stuff that's already out there or it's technical things from what I can tell.
That said, I've been rather caught up in some recent developments around an infamous little coprocessor recently so I haven't been paying as much attention to the work of the other developers as usual, might not be worth taking my word for it.

I don't think I will ever be able to make an epub reader but if you want I can make a txt reader (quick n' easy)
ebubs can be converted to txt sooo...

You also can convert them to pdf, and uploading them online, WiiU browser can handle pdf files quite fine.
Another idea would be looking into Hyrule Historia app and trying to play with it, not sure if it would be has easy to just inject images and expect it to read them =p

I'm not sure how nice it can be but page up/down and load file aint enough
