Homebrew Do legit CIA's exist? If so how does one install them?

Yes they exist. They are CIAs of games which were preinstalled on consoles. If you don't have CFW installed on your 3DS I believe you might be able to install them with NASA.

yes they exist and you need a cia installer. if youre on 11.0 or 11.1 youre out of luck sorry

"legit" cia installs only work on 9.0 - 9.2 i think. Of course with cfw any cia can be installed. Like mashers says, they are most likely pre installed games from system bundles, like fire emblem fates special, pokemon games, (not sun and moon apparently) or whatever else games you can find. A curious thing i was wondering, legit cia are usually cia that is multiregion, is that right or wrong? there is few multiregion games as i could see from freeshop like most of the snes vc games.

I don't know about the region. As for installing them, I think there's a way of installing them >9.2 using a modified version of FBI or NASA (I can't remember which now). If I remember correctly, it uses the same exploit as software downgrading uses, so it doesn't work on 11.x.

Legit cia exist but if you can install them it is pointless to as you can get a9lh. Legit cias don't work on 11.0/11.1

I guess that would make sense, but perhaps asking the app maker that would be better since they made it. If op wants validation.

Okay, i wasn't sure, i just figured it would work on the 9.2 exploits, since fbi can't even run on any other firmware without cfw.

Use freeShop instead. You most likely got a corrupted CIA.

sure using freeshop would not give you a legit cia. it's cool to get them if you can
