You can redirect the controls to a keyboard or pc controller but thats about it

or you could just replace the buttons. its surprisingly easy, though annoying if theres a physical mod on yours.

Get it a toothpick, and try and dig it in between the button and shell, be gentle, you'll probably get loads of dirt out.

I broke the spotpass and streetpass light part and I use glue to fix it

Google - replacement housing 3ds xl . Pick a color. Order a new shell and swap out the guts. Anything else will suck.

I cannot recommend this solution to someone with no hardware repair experience. The 3DS line is extremely difficult to assemble.

He glued the button. Even if he uses his case the only real solutions I can conceive involve removing the case and getting in there with an x-acto knife and trying ti undo what he did, then glue it right. He has to take off the case anyway. its not that hard to take off that part of the case. Tear down to the shoulder buttons and back case is fairly easy. I have done it several times.

I will finally be happy when nintendo makes something that we don't ever have to blow into again!

Seriously, make controllers that can withstand years of abuse, cause as long as people make games where "Rapidly press buttons to recover" is a thing, that is NEEDED. Manufacturers.

Business 102.... Have customer loyalty, having products that are not top tier is bad business when someone finds out. Trust me, unless someone is upgrading when buying new products, is unlikely they will buy something they already have it it broke with the idea it will just happen again. Some exceptions apply such as actually liking the product and understaning things don't last forever.

Can't even find working controllers for those things anymore.

That's exactly what I was saying Lol. They lack support, so no one will fix them. You ask someone where to buy a dreamcast controller and they ask why you aren't playing PS4 yet.....

If you wanna contact me go @Giodude, but anyways, you can have all the buttons working, but it's connecting to a pc to be controlled remotely with either a keyboard or a game controller. Though....... You need to have a cfw, and im not sure if you do or not. Whats your firmware/ cfw if you have one?

I use ARM9LoaderHax with luma 6.1 Firmware 11.1 and emunand 4.5b
