Hi. New to retroarch on my N3DS. I installed homebrew through the freakyhax crack and have since installed a few of the latest emulator builds (3dsx). I am getting a line that runs down the left side of the screen no matter what emulator I use (CPS1, neogeo, pce, etc...). It seems to be pronounced when there is a lot of scrolling in the background. Is this normal? From the videos I see on youtube I don't see this.
I tried fidling with the options but no sucess, I only managed to make it look worse :o
Thanks for any insight!

I tested Resident Evil 2 with PCSX on my Old 3DS (no sound) and i got 30fps average (up to 50fps on empty areas, heavy framedrops most of the time).

I wonder how would run on an New 3DS.

Check the 1.1.3 stable builds - they should generally lack the tearing / visual glitches. Hopefully you'll see better performance overall.

If anyone's interested, I'm going to try to build retroarch for 3ds using the latest changes, but without the PR from @aliaspider that causes tearing. I'd love to see this progress get finished, but I'd rather see those changes reverted than be left with a buggy build.

If I have the time, I may also make some nice icons as well.

What latest changes are you referring to? you mean the latest commits?
Some custom icons would be cool actually, mostly for PocketSNES, I hate the one they chose. xD

I'm looking forward to a proper gpsp build. :)
Good luck with your tests!

Yep. I just mean the various changes to each emulation core. No clue how significant any of it will be. gpsp is going to still be broken, sadly.

I doubt many of my icons will be suitable (as they can contain trademarked imagery) but feel free to use any of these if they're not considered to weird / garish

I'll probably make my own that just use the emulator logos, or things related to the hardware in some way. Those are nice, aside from some weird line spacing and clutter here and there.
