I need some help and i apologize if this isn't posted in the right area but I kinda stumbled upon the whole homebrew/pokedit/pkhex stuff a couple days ago. My 2DS is unfortunately updated to 11.1 but I have managed to install the homebrew launcher through cubic ninja. I have the Omega Ruby cartridge and am basically just trying to connect the dots on what i'm able to do at this point to hack/edit pokemon. I had the svdt-master downloaded and managed to get that to work but i had no idea how to use it from the homebrew menu or if there is something else I'm missing in order to do this stuff. Then I downloaded 3DS Save Manager but from the tutorial Ive seen he didn't need to go through Cubic Ninja to access the save data for pokemon to edit it.

Maybe I'm just over thinking it. Ive watched hours of videos and read many pages of information but I'd rather not give up.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can shed some light.

(sorry for the novel)

-Use Cubic to launch homebrew launcher
-Remove Cubic cart
-Insert OR cart
-Backup save data ala save manager (I recommend JKSV)
-Put your SD in a computer
-Find the exported save file and open it with PKHeX
-Make changes and export the file as 'main'
-Replace the save on the SD card
-Import the modified save
-Profit

Although, ORAS might have PASLR on them (This concerns you since it may make the save manager bit fail)
It's worth a shot tho. (atm we have no PASLR bypass for vanilla firmwares)

That sound pretty simple. Thanks a ton, I'm gonna go try this real quick.

Unfortunately if you are on 11.1 stock fw then you cannot use save managers on ORAS at the moment due to the new PASLR patch for some games in 11.1, therefore the only way to hack Pokemon into ORAS atm without custom fw is to use gen to Pokemon X/Y using SVDT and transfer Pokemon to ORAS via Pokemon bank or a second 3ds.

@smealum posted in his Twitter that he had an idea on how to bypass PASLR, but it's still in development.

You actually can. You need this specific 3dsx and need to target Pokemon Bank, but it does work.

Drag the 3ds folder in the zip below to the root of your SD card (replace common files if any)
I just threw the .3dsx JK pointed you to, and the xml to go with it into a folder. Felt like it would be a tad easier than saying "wrong file, go here to download the right ones and put them here and there and" Blah

This will add an app to the homebrew launcher, called something like JKSM or JK's save manager. Regardless, that's the app you want :)

By 3dsx you mean what specifically I dont have any files on my sd called 3dsx or am I confused
This one
You need this specific 3dsx
3dsx is a file type. I made the post with the file since JKSM.6-30-2016.zip won't work for this. (the 3dsx is in the .zip I uploaded as well)

as soon as i try to open oras with the JK save manager. I also have an extra 3ds folder i dont know if that should be there.
You should have a Nintendo 3DS folder, and a 3ds folder

When you select JKSM, you have to target the Pokemon Bank from the eShop iirc (Forgot to mention this. Sorry)
(I'm actually just about to test this since I've just been taking info from other posts. experience would probably help more)
