As there won't be online functionality in the game, I would assume there can be or will be a homebrew that will allow that, no? Is this not a planned or thought of homebrew idea? I think it's a great idea.
I'm aware though, the game isn't out yet and nobody can get working on a level sharer.

I would assume this is possible in some shape or form, so why are people so worried about the online functionality not working?

if there's no form of level sharing i'm honestly not even gonna give the game a second thought, it defeats the purpose, and i'm not creative enough to create my own levels

Would you be okay with a stripped down, ugly save editor or something other that would do it in homebrew form though? I would assume, unless with actual online level sharing capability similar to CHMM2 and 3dsthem.es, it wouldn't be too nice.

One idea would be to backup the save file with JK Save Manager and share that with everyone. But it would be a bit of a hassle

I think you can play the 100 Mario challenge and recommended courses online, but the levels have been made using the Wii U version. Sharing 3ds user created levels are only available via Street pass or local wifi.

If this is the case, a VPN should be sufficient?

If the levels use the same file format from the wiiu version (technically they should) i can't really see why wouldn't it be possible to just inject the already extracted levels... Of course, levels that were not intended to be played there would be buggy or crash all together...

Well levels should be possible to share if they are saves or extdata.
If we are able to download levels from the Wii U version on the 3ds, and they are extdata or savedata, then it shouldn't be too hard to share levels. The only thing that sucks Is that the 3ds version isn't able to search online by course id.

I was thinking something more like PHBank that could extract or import individual levels on the 3DS itself rather than having to to go the trouble of extracting the save to your PC, inserting/exporting the levels, and then re-importing the save back to your 3DS like you would with a save editor such as the Monster Hunter one.

I personally don't mind no online features, I'm thankful we got it overall on 3DS, but I foresee a level importer via HB at some point.

(Unrelated, but do you think this game could be used as an exploit for something?)
