Because it has an ungrateful fanbase that's consistently proven toxic for devs to work with, combined with lack of interest on potential devs' parts
Really? I didn't know this as fact. :(
I mean i understand, its not easy to make stuff and unappreciated is even worst than most things, is very reflectful on peoples actions, i mean i know from experience.... though i never made homebrew, but unappreciation is something i have felt. Mostly i just do what makes me happy, even if anyone doesn't like it. I shouldn't let other people keep me down. Is just hard.

We as people are making our work done in efforts to see things progress, and if people do not work together is much tougher than it has to be. But still is a lot of controversy and i guess if it was me, i wouldn't make things for people if they aren't respectful. I make it as cause i wanted to type of thing.

because the homebrew developers are the new nutshells, who agree with me? they don't even care about the wii u, they're now caring about the PSVita :(

I really don't think the Homebrew Developers are "new nutshells". There is probably an interest in the shiny new device project that is the PS Vita, but really you should be happy with what you have. I firmly believe that homebrew consumers shouldn't complain about ANYTHING unless they get up from playing the homebrew and start making it. Once you see how much time and effort these devs have put into making these awesome programs I think you'll change your view on just how much you think you're entitled to.

Well which homebrews would you expect? People don't really make homebrew games anymore like we had on the Wii for example, which I think is mainly because such games are now easily accessible on any smartphone. Emulators, well these are an enormous effort to make and given the small amount of people that are in this "scene" and the even smaller amount of people who'd have the knowledge to develop an emulator, very very few people are going to sacrifice huge parts of their spare time to develop and support an all new emulator for the Wii U (and you can emulate most retro systems on smartphones, too).
Apart from that, what more would you want? Media Players? You'd probably need IOSU for that, at least if you wouldn't want to store all of your media on the SD card and in addition, most modern TVs come with USB slots and can play most common formats (at least my TV can, it's definitely not an overly expensive or luxury-model) so things like that aren't really needed anymore.

There's Wii U homebrew. You just have to search for it on forums (which aren't well organized and improving their organization could improve the situation a bit) (you can still look at http://www.wiiubru.com/appstore/ for now)
There are homebrews, but they go fastly to the last pages and it's quite sad to see that immediatly after posting a new homebrew it gets under ton of threads like "I can't get my gamez working" or "Hi, I'm new, what to do?" or "IOSU will come soon" (It's not very encouraging)
Still I am working on something (top secret :P)(and I know that other devs are working too) but it takes time to develop a wii u homebrew (and quite much libraries are missing) and the active homebrew devs are not more than 5/6
Threads saying the wii u is dead, etc. are not very encouraging too

Because there are threads like this.

I know their is homebrew. I have all the homebrew downloaded to my sd card from the appstore.

I could honestly care less about wii u homebrew but it is just weird to see weeks go by without a homebrew release.

I agree that those types of threads are annoying and hold back development.

As I haven't developed anything i can't comment on that

Because running homebrew through the web browser is lame so we need IOSU.
I don't mind booting the web browser everytime i need homebrew. You know most hacks only work with the broswer. (Henkaku required the browser, and ninjahax didn't have menuhax until themes were added in 9.0.0)

Lots of people, myself included, only started using 3DS homebrew when they were implemented as CIAs.
A Homebrew Launcher is a retarded concept when you know you have the possibility of running everything natively.

we discussed it few times with the staff, and the one with power to do it ... always forgot I guess
@raulpica, could you add a WiiU homebrew section please ? :D

I think we will keep Loadiine in hacking, even if it IS a homebrew, as users are more easily going there for backup loaders.
it will leave all other non backup related homebrew on their own section, with devs who can share without all the backup loading questions threads.

With the help of the wikitemp, we can easily find all released homebrew thread (I already listed them all) to move them to the new section.
too bad nobody have time to work on the wiki and make pretty homebrew pages. currently it's only lists and links.

Ps: Who is quark?
he didn't post here
