I have a huge pile or receipts on my desk and I want to get rid of them by logging them somewhere. Used to use a nifty app back in 2010 but they've shut down since. Concept was very simple. Enter your expenses (name/description and amount) and any gains. Shows spending and net gain/loss over the day, week, month, year, whatever.

Looking for something like this. Ideally once that I can manage from both my laptop and iPhone. Don't mind web-based on my Mac, but would prefer a native app for the phone.

Myself for my Desktop I use GNU Cash for my personal finance and also for business classes although it is not on IOS, I would suggest to try it on your mac. I can not speak from experience either as I do not use IOS though but I have heard Mint is good.

I installed Monefy - Money Manager for PC , or you can get many similar app but i have to remind you that never put any private info, bank account to this apps

Thanks guys. Mobile was a priority and the search has been quite dreary thus far, so I may give these a try.
From my experience with Android, I've ended up using google sheets. I just couldn't find an app which could do the simple things right.

Just as I've considered using Numbers (as in, Apple's terribly named spreadsheet software.) Seems like an area of software development worth delving into. Maybe a little summer project.
