Depends on your internet iirc. Try to lower or increase them and test if its faster or slower or crashes more often

For download settings, the default values are usually best, which I think are 6s Timeout and 128KB buffer. This essentially means you can comfortably download 128KB every 6 seconds. If you struggle to download at that speed, that's when you will get timeouts, leading to suspended/retrying messages and sometimes failure with "Internet Problems" error.

If you are downloading 1.5 MB/s using those defaults, I would perhaps suggest increasing buffer size to 256KB or something and see if you can improve it.

If you are getting no more than 100 KB/s using those defaults, then I would keep it the same but increase HTTP timeout in the case that it gets slow.

Note:
  • Current downloads will NOT adjust their buffer/timeout values. So if you want to test out changes, you have to either restart the install or restart freeShop (so it reloads the queue).
  • You can safely increase HTTP timeout to max value without degrading the download speed if you want to minimize timeouts. This however makes recovery a bit slower when a connection problem does happen.

So freeshop just searched for new titles after starting it which took a while, however the most recent releases featured are still the same.

Is it safe to assume last weeks releases are not yet available or did i forget to change something in the settings?

Remember that the freeShop takes the release dates of the titles whose decrypted keys are in the encTitleKeys.bin. If anyone has decrypted, for example, the Eur version of the DQVII, it will never be shown up as "new title".

OK, I finally checked the new home menu apps feature, and I installed the DLC for Streetpass Mii Plaza. Now every feature has been unlocked, except for the Mii Filter (the one that you access by pressing Y). Is there a way to unlock it without making it enter the in-game shop (because if I let it enter it, it will revert all of the DLC I installed with Freeshop)?
Help anyone?

I never used the eShop there and I have it so... try using the eShop. x)
I already did, and that's how I lost the content. I know you're going to tell me to not go to the in game shop next time I reinstall the DLC, but then how do I get to use the Mii Filter if it's the only thing that is not unlocked?

Aight, good to know. It doesn't have DQ VII yet tho, so i guess i'll have to use that iso site for now.

I have a small feature request, if at all possible. Is there any way you could add the option to force parental restrictions when opening Freeshop? I'd like to restrict a system so only a couple people (parents) have access to Freeshop, but having to install the .cia, scan the QR code, then uninstall it again every time is a huge pain.

Or, if there's a way for me to set the .cia to the highest rating level (MA or 18+ or whatever) like FBI does I could do that as well.

Thank you!

Currently we can only access to North America (USA), Europe/Australia (EUR), and Japan (JPN) eshop titles... Could we add eshop games in other regions (e.g. Korea, Hong Kong, etc.)? My guess is that the title keys are not available in those regions?

I would be surprised if that were true, but I don't know anything about it.

As long as you don't use a region filter, they should be there afaik. But there aren't many Korean/Chinese keys being shared atm. On that note, I believe freeShop has a system font problem currently on those console which could prevent it from being popular there. I encountered someone with a Korean console that can help test it though.
