Hacking Is it safe to update?

Title says it all. I'm currently on this version, using New3ds with AuReinand.

I'm on A9LH, I believe(Turning it on, it immediately loads it up without the need of going into another program). No need to download any files, right(sorry about extra precautions)?

I've never updated from AuReiNand to Luma3DS, but generally yes, it's safe to update via system update from reports I've read (People using Luma3DS). There's a couple things that have a few issues apparently (BootNTR for example), but they can usually be fixed pretty easily (using the dev branch of Luma3DS, with a fork of BootNTR fixes issues I believe).
