hi good evening everyone so im following this guide,

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Move-RedNAND

im at the step where i have to boot on emunand9 by holding y buttong while booting.
ive done everything that is needed, renaming it.
i can boot on luma and hourglass, only the emunand9 is the problem, it just stays in blackscreen.
anyone can help me?
Do you have y_EmuNAND9.bin in the /luma/payloads/ folder on your SD card?

Edit: Alternatively, as a matter of troubleshooting, temporarily rename EmuNAND9.bin as arm9loaderhax.bin and put it on the root of your SD card.

You could potentially use emuNAND tool to backup your emuNAND and bypass the use of EmuNAND9 altogether.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/emunand-tool-release-and-support-thread.359239/
can you enlighten me a little bit? if you can tell me the reason of this i think i will get the logic and figure it out by myself.

1. why do i have to backup my emunand? which i think i already did because the "Move Rednand" guide told me so.
2. and why even without doing the "Move Rednand" im booting on my emunand? (can you explain why?)
3. the Emunand9 format. why do i have to do it?

sorry about this buddy. but im not a pro on this kind of thing. but i think i can get the logic.

I got a little turned around. Sorry. So you have already restored emuNAND to your sysNAND using Hourglass9, correct? Which step are you on exactly? Step 12? If so, that step is just to clear off the emuNAND partition from your SD card since you don't need it anymore, and you could do that with your computer if you know what you're doing.

that explain all of it. so this is the part where i got copy of my emunand on my sysnand right?

  1. Go to "SysNAND Backup/Restore", then select the "SysNAND Restore (keep a9lh)" option to restore your SysNAND from NAND_emu.bin
so which means my emunand is already on my sysnand which leave only the old emunand to be remove on my sd card?

formating directly on my computer will do?

Correct, but you need to format it properly on your computer. If you just right-click the SD card and format it, you're not going to touch the emuNAND partition. EaseUS Partition Master should allow you to format the whole card and get rid of the emuNAND partition.

Your 3DS is behaving as though there's no SD card in it, so are you sure you restored all of your files, including the Luma3DS armloaderhax.bin? Without an SD card with a proper payload, A9LH will cause the 3DS to power off immediately after turning it on.
