Well if you don't have a backup then you're screwed for the time being, as basically all homebrew entry points were patched in 11.1. Maybe you can use decrypt9 to inject FBI into Health and safety (you did that once before) and then reinstall every cia you lost. The saves ect will be gone though.

If you followed the guide you should have a file called NANDmin.bin (or maybe sysNAND_A9LH.bin, emuNAND_original.bin, or something like that) somewhere. It will be somewhere between 600MB - 1.2GB. Make a files9 folder on the root of your card and put your backup in there. Do what ArchK3ks suggested to make sure you can boot into Hourglass9 and restore the backup to sysNAND.

@Quantumcat he could 9.2 ctrtransfer couldn't he?
And then use the hblauncher_loader with the updated otherapp payload to get homebrew back...
And also inject FBI for games and stuff....

But he should have a backup tho ....

@zombiehugz you have a file that is only called nand.bin?

Make a folder called files9 on your sd card root(just like suggested by Quantumcat) and put that in there. Then try to restore again. If you don't have the file say goodbye to all games and saves. You must start from a clean version then

I hope I understand it right that you want the steps wtitten down:
1. create a folder called files9 on your sd card root.
2. But that nand.bin in there
3. Boot your 3ds with sd card inserted.
4. Go to sysnand options/sysnand backup & restore and choose sysnand restore
5. Use the nand.bin to restore your sysnand.
6. Shutdown 3ds and insert sd into computer.
7. Rename the files you renamed before to get hourglass9 running back to normal.
8. Boot 3ds again with sd inserted.
9. Hopefully see your homemenu.

EDIT: Btw how big is that nand.bin in bytes?

No, I don't even have a nand file, any chance I can download one from someone?

You can't download one from somebody else since they are console specific.
Sry then I didn't understand what you wanted from me .... you then probably need to do a 9.2 ctrtransfer. This will unfortunately make you lose your games and save-files. Here is a tutorial on how to do it:
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-ctrtransfer
Just follow it and also do section V and VI since they will provide you with everything you need .

No. This is why the guide tells you over and over to put the backups in a safe place. Sorry, you've lost all your saves.

I don't think this will help him, he just used tinyformat so his console still works fine.

Well I thought the same the first time I saw somebody with a not booting 3ds after tinyformat ... but what is wrong when tinyformat isn't the problem?
