i just looked up the one on my device vhere it said it was updated lol. what number is lumas supposed on the version i mean

Luma is the arm9loaderhax.bin found on your SD card. You can update it by replacing it with the latest one found on Aurora Wright's GitHub or using the updater, your choice

Okay, so I went to the selector .cia and I pressed A to install NTR 3.3
Now, I went to the boot .cia and it gave me codes saying again "unknown firm" "access checks couldn't be made" etc, things like that. And then after it does an address dump it looks like.

okies. it says on this lumas updater v1.4.2 is that the current version for the luma?? and it also says configuration not found, using default values.

then it shows below all that mumbo jumbo
install normal version
install developer version
install latest hourly (724af0fd)
istall latest dev hourly (724af0fd)

so do i install any of this?? or am i on the latest lumas??

Okay, so I went into the loader this time, and it said
"Loading the ntr bin you provided" then the screen flashed blue ( the same way it did in the Selector ) and then it gave me the "An error has occurred. " message.

Try again? NTR only works if you launch it at start or else it will fail. And ignore the firmware.bin I said.... I thought you got a error saying you needed firmware.bin

At start? You mean as soon as I turn on my 3ds, no?

Once you turn on your 3DS, launch the BootNTR loader app. Sometimes the app doesn't work because it's not perfect , so you need to restart your 3DS and keep trying (one time I had 3 errors in a row :/ ) if it still doesn't work after 5 tries then idk what your issue is

Okay, I got it to work!
Thank you so so soooo much for all your help!
This time I just ran the Selector alone and then booted up ACNL and it booted up the cheats menu!

oh ya. i updated the luma via like you said it updated. still no NTR boot. i turned it off to do something else. and go to turn it back on. hurt like a pop noise. and i look in the direction of the noise and seen nothing. looked down and realized the 3ds wasnt on. so i thought ok maybe i forgot to turn it on. ive done it before thinking i did so its nothing new. so i turn it on and now i hear a popping noise again and this whole time im watching the screen to wait on the system to load up and now its nothing. wont load. omg. so now what do i do?

yes. doesnt boot up. is showing the orangey light when charger is in with no card in. but upon putting card in and booting up the system it'll show a blue light like its turning on then pop and goes out.

A "popping" noise? That actually happened to my old original 3DS before. Although that was WAY before I even knew that 3DS Homebrew existed. It was most likely because I accidentally got water in it somehow, though.

i figued out what my problem is. i been fixing it vi youtube. lol. if the top screen isnt opened fully then i can play and do whatever with it but if i open it fully itll pop and go out. i didnt get water or any kind of liquid in mine tho. its an old 3ds for sure this one i got is. ya. least me finding out whats the prob and fixing myself better than paying 60 bucks out esp since i dont have it. if i did id have boughten a new one awhiles back. lol. hope you got yours fixed.

i figured out the probem its something to do with the inside. lol. i got it working fixing to try to fix it. i cant afford 60 bucks to have nintendo fix it.
