So I need a firmware.bin for ntrcfw again?
Yes, you'll need that as well as an updated BootNTR for the new home menu. I've made a testing version for 11.1.0U n3ds, but I'll need a pidf.dmp to add support for other consoles and regions. If you want to help me, run NTR on the latest firmware and send me the generated file.

I am not adding support for the new firmware yet, just the new home menu.

EDIT: QR code if you want to test, it'll still require a firmware.bin with either the dev version of luma or an older version of luma.

Thanks for that!

As an older CFW, RXwPasta is more vulnerable to being patched out. There's no problem with me running it (9.2 Sysnand, 11.1 Emunand) but your results may vary.

I noticed that the titles in the updated title list specify New 3ds... is Old 3ds not getting patched so thoroughly any more?

Forgive my ignorance, I just installed Luma3DS for the first time in the past week following Plailect guide, on my N3DS and O3DS.
It sounds like I can safely update using System Update from the system settings, but I wanted to confirm something.

Can I use Hourglass9 to create NAND backups of the 11.0 firmware I have right now?
This isn't just about the firmware update mind you, but keeping my current configuration + installation safe, rather than merely a backup of the initial 9.0 or 4.5 firmware I started from.

So no DSiWare downgrade?
It wasn't patched, but it won't work on 11.1.0 until a new entrypoint is available.

Yes, you can. Just hold whatever button to start hourglass9 and make a backup.

Cool, I just wanted to make sure.

As for my non-modded N3DS XL, that's currently on 11.0 and I wanted to know two things if anyone can clear this up.
Does V*Hax work for CTR-HTTPWN? I just wanna keep playing Badge Arcade and Pokémon Shuffle if it can be helped.
And, does V*Hax work on 11.1 firmware, or is it too early to tell? Has a homebrew payload for this firmware been released yet?

Yes

No entrypoints work as there isn't a ropbin available for the new homemenu.

So what's the whole situation with gateway users. The the whole emunand broken or just loading the games from the cartridge or what. And is the cheat menu broken

do 11.1 can still downgrade via hardmod ?
Yes u can still downgrade via hardmod
In theory, but for now no since it isn"t a working Homebrew Entry Point for the moment. You need to wait the fix of all of them first.
@LysergCooltyp If the console are in 10.7.0-32 you need to block DNS, or in your router or other possible way the servers to don"t trigger the Internet Browser nag. If is in 11.0.0-33 System Transfer needs that the console is in lastest Firmware.
@Clector, I believe if you're doing only the hardmod downgrade then we're good, no? Assuming, the old "reboot.ms" tool still works. Does it?
