I did, it said "emu 9.2.0" then I updated but it says "Ver 11.0.0" I tried to use luma again, but it just takes me to a black screen, and it doesnt even want to install the menuhax either.
Did you remember to unlink your nands? I'm fairly sure if they are still linked that updating emunand updates sysnand as well.

When installing CHMM2.8 I get this Warning cannot find a DSP firmware (dspfirm.cdc). On the FAQ section it says this

Q) Where i can find the DSP firmware (dspfirm.cdc) required by CHMM2? A) You can dump it with several tools like DSP Firmware Dumper, uncart, braindump or Decrypt9.

How can I dump this using Decrypt9? Thanks!

Yeah I used the tiny app thingy for formatting and unlinking, I made sure to follow that step because I knew it was important.

There is a list of hardmodders here who are capiable of performing the downgrade and installation of the a9lh who would charge you a fee,it would be a decent option, unless your not in a real rush to have it right now, but you don't know how long you would be waiting to be honest. :)

Currently there is only one on the list in US and has a good review.
I probably will go with that option, I will just check prices and see if its better to use their service or just buy a modded 3DS, I have 2 already so...a third one wouldnt hurt I guess... thanks for all your help, you guys sure have a lot of patience, if there were more people like you in the world, it would be a better place to live.

you might want to contact @vb_encryption_vb then if you want the downgrade and a9lh, i'm sure he will be reasonable. :)

thanks thanks everyone who helped me out with my 3ds modding troubles.

Now can I attatch my mii to the 3ds? am I to use the eshop only for <v10.4 in homebrew for eshop games?

Try the ultimate virtual console injection program that is on here. You will need to search for it. It can insert roms into cia that is installed on the system like any other VC app :)

Guys, I followed all steps from Plailect guide part 1 but now my 3ds boots on black screen, with and without d-pad down pressed.
If i remove the sd card, 3ds boots normally.

Not sure if is expected, but there is no health & safety app installed.

Can't see what I did wrong.

Part one was just to install menuhax, did you follow the directions?

Well, at the end on part 1 says I should reboot the 3ds and hold D-Pad down while the system is booting to launch the Homebrew Launcher.
The problem is when I try to start the Homebrew Launcher trough the booting, it does not start, just black screen.
Did you change your theme before attempting this?

Eject the sd card, turn the system on, when the menu is loaded, insert the sd card back into the system. Go to the theme settings, change it to any theme, then back to default. Then try menuhax again (follow installation instructions from the guide)

Yeah, I changed my theme.

I did everything you asked and nothing, same black screen :(

Was wondering if anybody could help

So i successfully downgraded my 3ds to 9.2.0 and i followed the steps via github guide

My 3ds has CFW which I can access by entering the LUMA cfw from the HBC. Does that mean I'm good to go ? I'm having trouble understanding the logistics of step 5 of the github guide, specifically the first few steps but then wondered if this whole part is just optional anyway

First of all, if you only done up to 3 you go to 4.
Your job in step four is to downgrade EMUNAND which is the newly created CFW to receive a system file Otp.bin necessary to perform the A9lh installation in step 5
