i downloaded the zip file from https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases

Are you using the 3DSX version or CIA version?
Do you have it installed as Health & Safety?
How does yours look different then mine? (Is it just missing options? or is it a black background with white text?)
The new 2.x versions of FBI install as a new/extra icon from the 1.x version, are you sure you're using the new one?

Ok, if you're seeing a black background with white text then you're still using the a 1.x version. You most likely didn't put the 3DSX in the right folder or you have two copies on there and you're running the wrong one. You should put the "FBI.3dsx" file in a folder called "/3ds/FBI/".

ok i did that and now i get the error "Failed to acquire kernel access."

Let me guess, you're trying to use this on a 11.0 system? Yeah... you can't do that. You need to downgrade if you want to use FBI.

Yep, if you use the update feature, FBI will be updated, and this "overwrite" the old FBI with the new.

If you installed FBI as a cia then installing the new cia will overwrite the old cia.

I said in my post "as a cia", which means using FBI-injected H&S to install FBI as a cia.

FBI has an update feature built-in. I just use that.

Open FBI -> Scroll down to the very bottom -> Update -> ??? -> Profit

I am on 11.0.0-11 and I have menuhax/browserhax. (I am new to this hacking thing so I might ask retarded questions)

Short story: You can't use FBI on 11.0.0-33. You need to downgrade.

Long story: You need to either find someone who has a custom firmware 3DS to do the DSiWare Downgrade, get a hardmod, sell your current system and get one with 10.7.0-32 or lower, or wait for a 11.0 kernel exploit (good luck with that).
