Seeing as you're on 10.6, you can downgrade to 9.2 just fine and install CFW.
If you have a working browser, you can start right here: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Homebrew) and continue all the way to part 5 for the best entry point (arm9loaderhax) and Luma3DS as CFW.

I was wondering about injecting fbi in to the health and safety app.

Do you have to redo the part with universal injector batch file more than once or will hs.app and the one with fib injected work on any console or nand?

Also is there any harm in just leaving fbi as the health and safety app when finished with the guide?

It's best to use your own hs.app from your own nand. So you'd have to do it again.
There's no harm in leaving it fbi though.

Yes. Though you can use your a9lh sysnand to change region instead of emunand.

Read the FAQ. It seems to say it should work.

You need a save editor like JKSV (run from homebrew launcher) to extract the save and then save editing on the computer with that program.

Yes it is. Go to this website and follow the instructions listed under the Web browser option.

Once you are understanding how to load the homebrew launcher, download a program called SVDT or JK save manager, to extract the save data from the monster hunter game and use it with the program.

Hi I have followed all of the steps in https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Homebrew) up until downgrading in part 4 , I formatted twice through tinyformat and am constantly getting an error when downgrading using plaisysupdater. It always stops at v.12288-> v.02049 I've done it at least 15 times already with restoring emunand after. Anyone got a solution

In the third part of the guide you guys sent me (https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)) there is a part (step 23) where it asks me to boot into RedNAND. It might have passed right through my head but... how I do this? Thanks!
