Hello guys and here´s my question.

My Gf got and OLD 3Ds and asked me to do an CFW over it. So i've installed Luma3ds and I have to say I like it, a lot..
I've got an N3ds xl with reinand on it, now I wanna use Luma too, but now the newbie comes through (lol) I have no idea how to change the CFW..
In the link below is the tutorial I used for her.. I wanna do the same thing for my DS but I also don't wanna fuck up my DS..
If u need more infos just ask me, like I said, I'm a newbie

Part 5 - arm9loaderhax,
Section II - Installing arm9loaderhax

The screen glitched. I followed the instructions from https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Troubleshooting#ts_safe_a9lh_screen and pressed select. The 3ds didn't reboot after I waited about 30 seconds and I pressed select again. The 3DS shut off. I pressed power and the blue light on the 3DS came on for 1 second or less. The 3DS will not turn on unless I have the SD card in the console, when the sd card is in the 3DS the console will only display a black screen.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Black screen on RedNAND boot
  1. Try resetting Luma's config and fix options
    1. Delete /luma/config.bin from your SD card
    2. Set your options when it boots
  2. Try restoring a backup to RedNAND. (You should have one of these)

I deleted config.bin and was shown the Luma settings screen

I pressed start with out selecting anything and I still get the black screen. How do I try restoring a backup to RedNAND from the Luma3ds configuration screen?

SO FAR SO GOOD

I read ahead and followed the instructions

Ive obtained the New 3DS Bundle with Super Mario Land early, and can confirm at least to my knowledge that it uses 10.7.
With that said, what would be the most reasonable measures to downgrade to 9.2?
I see options as OOTHAX, Smashhax, and Ninjax (although its been said N3DS seem to be unstable on this)

I just want to finally test out the NTR 3.4 Wireless capturing method as an alternative while Katsukity repairs my other 3ds capture card and its been bugging me for a while

Section V - Removing RedNAND from your SD

I held Y when booting the 3DS to launch EmuNAND9.
I think I'm in EmuNAND9 because FBI is shown. I haven't checked settings...

How do I select SD Format Option? is it under FBI?

Tried it again and it worked.

I'd like to perform a "save-state" style backup, one that I can restore from if my 3DS gets borked (but not bricked) and have everything return to exactly how it was at the time of the backup. Would backing up the SysNAND and then copying everything off my SD card be enough? If so, would restoring the backup work if I just deleted everything off my SD card right after restoring my SysNAND then copied back over the contents of my backup?

e: Also, would it be safe to perform a system update while having the latest version of Luma on SysNAND? I've heard it has firmware protection, but I'd like to make sure.

e2: I've heard that DLC deletion by the eShop is only a problem if you've purchased DLC before. Is this true?

Hi guys, it is me again...

In the Section III, step 2 precisely, of the fifth part of the guide, it says that I have to press Select while turning the console on and in the menu turn on the lines:
  • "Autoboot SysNAND"
  • "SysNAND is updated"
  • "Force A9LH detection"
  • "Show current NAND in System Settings"
  • "Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM"
but "SysNAND is updated" and "Force A9LH detection" is not on the list! How do I do it? If I am not pressing selecting while turning up, the console also gives me a error screen, saying that "An old unsupported FIRM has been detected. Copy firmware.bin in /luma to boot". I guess I am lost... A little help, please? Thanks!

Use Luma3DS v5.5 for the guide then update to v6.0.1 after you finish the guide. The guide hasn't been updated yet to show Luma3DS's recent changes.

Thank you guys very much! Everything went right, I just concluded the tutorial. It was not as hard as I thought it would be (but either way it took me nearly 7hours hahaha). Now, with the Luma3DS installed, I just need to download .cia files and install them?

Thank you guys again! You are awesome.

Install the latest FBI (as .cia). Then you can install homebrew from QR codes without having to take out the SD card each time. One homebrew you should get is freeShop. There will be a QR code in the first post of the release thread. (And you'll need enctitlekeys bin updater also)

Thank you guys. I installed freeEshop (using this: https://github.com/Cruel/freeShop/releases) but I think it is missing something..? It writes "Loading game list..." and it keeps in the screen forever. I have to do more than just installing the .cia file?
Google for enctitlekeys bin updater and install that too. When you run it it will download the required file for freeShop.

Hello guys,

Iam running a new3dsxl with arm9loaderhax with luma3ds and have ntr cfw installed...
does anyone of you know of something, than can perfom key inputs via a script
or something ?

(for example: the user can write a script, then the "thing" will perfom those
key inputs, for instance: in Pokemon ORAS you can write a script for
driving arround the battel resort to hatch eggs or something like that)

Is someone working on this ? and if yes, how is it called ?

If not, would that be a feature that would be used?

thansk in advance

I know of a guy who was working on some automated scripts, but they are all private rn (and probably will never be public). So it is indeed possible to have ntr cfw do button inputs.

So I have Luma3ds and Ctrbootmanager installed in my old 3ds (9.2 sys/11.0 emu) and Ctrbootmanager boots through menuhax. My problem is that I don't want to go through Ctrbootmanager and select Luma3ds every time I want to go to Emunand. Is there a way to Autoboot to Luma3ds and only access Ctrbootmanager by holding a certain button while booting (In my case, the Select button.)? Thanks.
