I have an o3DS with CFW and A9LH on it, having succesfully followed Plailect's awesome guide, and a n3DS with menuhax installed via browserhax. They are both USA region consoles. I read the guide for downgrading my n3DS, and that's great, but I just wanted to make sure about the NNID issues.

The o3DS doesn't have an NNID associated with it. I want to end up with the NNID that I have on the n3DS on the n3DS. So, would the process then be for me to backup my save files on my n3DS, backup the SD card of the o3ds, format my n3DS sd card, associate my o3DS with the NNID that was on my n3DS, then follow the DSiWare Downgrade guide?

And after doing so, to revert the o3DS back to not having a NNID, would I format the o3DS sd card, go through the initial Nintendo setup, then copy the o3DS sd card backup back onto the o3DS sd card? My main worry about this stage is whether formatting the o3DS sd card will make the o3DS backup somehow no longer compatible. But there's of course a possibility of me overlooking some other problem as well.

skater didnt have the ability to ram inject, which was why people wanted to install the o3ds browser (and a few succeeded). Emunand doesn't work with the exploit for reasons.

What exactly are you wanting to ram inject? It might be easier to just do something else.

No. Just follow Section II of Part 4, it's not that hard.

You need to use a ds flashcard to play any ds games/homebrew/non dsiware related stuff. You may be able to use your r4i (idk if it will work on a 3ds or not).

You install it on the 3ds (as well as enctitlekeys updater). You can search for games in it and they download and install.

You need both to run freeShop. Install both and then run the encTitleKeys.bin-Updater first. It'll download the file needed and then autoboot you to freeShop.

My sdcards (started using a 8gb micro) are freezing up from transferring files back and forth At one point I couldn't access homebrew. The sd wasn't detected by 3ds.

Is it okay if I just format the card re-do everything from the beginning and overwrite the on 3ds?

If you can, try to copy all the files from your sd card onto your pc, then format. You should be fine for the most part though.

You shouldn't have to worry about bottlenecking from r/w speed of sd cards (for flashcards at least), but with the prices for class 10 micro sd cards with a large capacity, why are you considering anything below 48 mbps?

I just wanted to buy one specifically for nds gaming only, so i'd just get the cheapest option available, provided the games in the flashcard wont benefit from higher speed, getting a 48mb/s will do, or 80mb/s? thanks ya

You don't really need to go all out for an sd card for a ds flashcard. 48 mbps is enough. If you find a cheaper option for 80mbps, take it (assuming both are first party companies, etc.) Samsung sells 16gb micro sd cards with that write speed for around $7 on amazon if you are having trouble finding cheap ones.

Or do i need to make a new NNID to use luma 3ds safely ?

Also does it happen a lot that .cia games are broken and wont play a certain part of the game?
And can you get banned by playing online on a not legit game file?
