Just want to point this out i frankly dont even know what hexen is.

About the fact this hasn't been ported yet, basically the cause is that Hexen II uses Quake Engine which is a really well-made engine and easy to port differently to Hexen I.

This community is awesome.I have a version of hexen that is runnable. No binaries at the moment, but it should compile fine. The bottom screen could use some work but it is functional(-ish). The top screen works best if it is increased to full screen in the options. The automap doesn't display correctly. And the controls can't be changed easily at the moment. Aside from that it seems to work ok with sound and music.

I'll post a cia if it isn't as bad as you say it is with control configuration, I'll post configs for the impatient like me for N3DS and O3DS in a few hours with the cia / 3dsx attached to the post, might contribute in github with a few overlay images for the touchscreen or help debug if possible.
