just wondering, how well does this work on O3ds, and what differences does it have from blargsnes (is it better?)

EDIT: ninja'd

I think it shouldn"t be difficult to can change controller 1 to 2 and add maybe other controllers support, but a multiplayer will be something very difficult to do and even if it can be implemented it should affect the emualtor performance a lot.

Maybe adding controller swapping like the Official snes VC?

Hi all,

Version 0.2 has been released. These are some of the changes:

1. Added frameskip option (may still seem a little buggy)
2. Added full screen option
3. Mode 7 support! (still slow in some games, especially in F-Zero)

The layering problem in Super Mario All-Stars is still not fixed yet... but I think I'll spend some time on making the CIA work first in the subsequent release.

You can download from my post here, or from my very first post. :)

Few of the games I've tried:

1. Demon Crest, the overworld map works beautifully. The emulator will drop some frames to keep frame-rate if frameskip is enabled.
2. Dragon Quest 6, played all the way to the first battle, seems ok.
3. Zelda, Link to the Past - the overworld map also works
4. Street Fighter 2 Turbo - mode 7 title screen now works
5. R-Type III - All the mode 7 stuff also works
6. Street Fighter 2 Alpha - SDD1 not supported, so it won't work.
7. Ultra Mortal Kombat 3 - Boots and plays ok.
8. Super Castlevania - Mode 7 drawbridge (at intro) and map works ok.
9. Super Metroid - I tested until I landed on Zebes. Works well.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Oh will any kind soul help me to test out the glitchy borders problem that you encounter on the new 3DS?

Thank you!

Super Mario Kart is now working! runing on 47 fps and some graphics bugs.
Super Mario rpg is still not showing anything.
Star Fox 2 works now until the map, then it crashes the emulator.
EDIT: Yoshi's island still only works untill after selecting a save file, then it shows a glitchy screen and crashes the emulator.

Thx man for your work.

Battletoads & Double Dragon - The Ultimate Team (Europe) - Only intro and menu is working with not too good framerate. When starting game, black screen.

Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (USA) -
I did not play much, but it seems, this runs just great. Marvelous!

Secret of Mana (USA) - Missing letters in the menu (name type). Broken colors in the dialog box and dark graphic artifacts on the floor. Too bad, because frame-rate seems great!

Yes but ARM11 access has been possible on every version, even 11.0, so it shouldn't be an issue.
Yea, but I'm just asking, because RetroArch isn't working on 11.0, due to deleted svcBackdoor11.
So I tought that BlargSnes also needs that
You only need the homebrew launcher.
I've got Browser- Menu- and Freakyhax lmao

Most Retroarch cores should still work without svcBackdoor11. As far as I'm aware, only PCSX, gpSP and Picodrive (32X and SVP only) use it for their dynarec modes. The rest should work fine without svcBackdoor11.

Maybe in the latest version. When i tried to run [maybe] NES game, it frozen.

Which core? Maybe try another version? It's recommended to use 1.3.3, the newer builds have many unfixed bugs due to aliaspider not being around to fix them.

The label 'stable' doesn't really mean much with libretro outside their flagship formats.

Man, that was several months ago, I don't remember

Okay, I'll install RetroArch again and try this

Thanks man! :)
Just wanna ask that, is sound "fixing" in your todo list? Because, the sound is very low in the games..

@KJ1 I'll see what I can do about the sounds. :)

@Justin14p Snes9x for 3DS doesn't use dynarec, so a standard *hax should work. Ninjhax works the best for me.

@DiscostewSM I just saw your post on the other branch of BlargSNES. Oh well... :) I'll go have a look to see what ideas I can use to optimise mode 7. Want to say that I am really grateful to your help on the large texture limit. Saved me tonnes of trouble.

Also, if possible @bubble2k16 can you also add a setting so that we can choose whether we want to see fps on the touch screen or not? :)

Nice!!
Here is my report.
Super Mario Kart works (50-45 fps),
Both bszelda and MK2 doesn't still work.
Wolfenstein displays now, but can't see the movement (you can update the display by pressing Start).

Thanks a lot for the update, Fullscreen and Mode 7 are amazing!

Can you please make a CIA for 0.2 version and fix the sound?
Thank you.
