I put my R4 cart into my AL9H 3ds and its just black screen, is there anything more Im supposed to do or does it just show it's not compatible?

I know even on my original ds it's having trouble reading it (works like 1 out of 5 times), I think it's the micro sd card.

9.2 is the system software Firmware. arm9 is a security system. It is two seperate things.

I think I misread your post but that's not what I said. The two things were the arm9 [which is a cpu] exploit on 9.0-9.2 via hbl and a9lh.
The purpose of 9.2 is more afaik due to it's arm9 access being stable and it being the safest way of doing it [installing a9lh] - via emuNAND ==> downgrade to 2.1; which is what you said - so I must have misread.

I don't think I need to. I think I just need to format the system.

A new 3ds with the ability to inject save files. Yes. I dunno what hardmod actual process does since i never used one but the DSIWARE game fieldrunners apperently has a exploit that is injected into the savedata and then using the system transfer it will copy the game to a new system along with the saved data injected hax to allow you to downgrade the system from 11.0.0-33

Yes, you have to buy Fieldrunners on the 3DS that can inject save data through CFW or A9LH.

You said earlier you were going to buy a new 3ds have you bought it yet? Because not all of them are on 11.0 some are on older firmware actually probably most are where you may not have to buy anything although you may still need an exploit game.

I try to get an idea of what I'm have to be able to install it and how the process is going on.
I didn't knowed that there are still plenty of lower FW version N3DS out there.

11.0 has only been out a few months and they make them like 6-9 months or a year in advance, there's likely not many on 11.0 although there could be some if you get unlucky.

Actually many systems have 11.0 now. You said it yourself, they make the systems in advance.
and we've had 11.0 for quite a while now. At least 3 months

Yes it has to be purchased on the exploitable system. There is literally no other way. :/

There are some; straight out of factory [i.e. J versions] running 11.0.33; besides those I don't think there's any reports of new 3ds's with >10.7. Refurbs of course being a story.
