Basically I have my first DS lite, it works flawlessly except it does not properly display on the top screen and because of that got a new DS lite forever ago. It's also swarmed with Toy Story Stickers rip. Sorry if this is wrong section but I'm kinda leaning a bit more towards homebrew in a sense. Pretty much since I already have a ds lite I was wondering if there is any kind of a hardmod for the ds lite, or any fun projects I can make out of the hardware. Also if there are any tips for removing those damn stickers. Thanks! :)

Use a knife or any blade product and scrape it off. does the stickers bother you that much? Most part you could just wet it and keep it moist until the glue becomes weak and then peel it off.

makes sense, and not that much but I prefer a clean ds rather than just a nightmare of Toy story stickers, YOU ALMOST CAN't SEEN THE DS lmao. and my hands sweat alot which is even worse and will ruin it, some are even on the speakers!

Is simple, use a blade type tool, with a sharp edge, place it under the sticker as if using spatula to cook hamburger, and scrape it off. If there any paper still stuck, just use damp cloth or rag and scrub it off easily. it becomes easier the more the paper gets wet.

Wha?! It may not even work. Seems liek some fun though, would like to see some other things too! Although I wouldn't say that's the most useful lol!

was searching around and this looks amazing! http://kotaku.com/from-broken-nintendo-ds-to-fully-functional-game-boy-ma-1703345061 Especially considering my top screen can't display properly! Might think of doing this

Now to learn how to solder...

If you are using moisture then try not to drip it into the speakers.

Mods beyond fixing the top screen.

Button remapping and turbo buttons. Basic if you know basic electronics, I guess you could improve that to have macros and a certain level of autoplay.

Some did overclock the DS, not much use but I guess you could do that.

You might be able to change the speakers/digital analogue converter to get a bit more from the audio system. Plenty of people do this for all sorts of systems, here is a 3ds one

Some managed to take the screen output and redirect it other screens/capture devices. Not sure if kits exist (most now focus on the 3ds which can also play DS games) but that is an option.

You might be able to fiddle with the backlight, probably not a lot of use for the DS lite though.

After that most hardware driven mods were things that worked off the back of the GBA slot, DS slot ( http://natrium42.xyz/blog/dserial-connect-your-ds/ as well as the "enhanced" flash carts) or wifi.
