Hacking Has conversion of PS2 iso into PS3 .pkg improved lately?

I have not checked the scene on that matter in recent times, i'll take for example, Soul Reaver 2 : lots of glitches with the characters and at some point of the game, a pillar suposed to be there to advance in the story is not there therefore making the game impossible to complete.

I used PS2 classics GUI form 2013, are there newer tools to make ps2 iso work flawlessly now? Or at least better.

Cobra supposedly has better PS2 playback than the standard PS2 Classics emulator. I haven't tried it myself, but all recent Rebug builds have Cobra functionality built in, you might have some luck there.

I assume so he can install PS2 games on his PS3 with ease. Its a pain in the ass exctacting files/converting crap to get it to work on PS3.

So the question still stands. Has installing a PS2 game on PS3 become any easier lately? I've been out of the PS3 scene for almost 3 years.
