Another thing to remember is that things like SDKs are often watermarked, making it easy for Nintendo to identify leakers.

Erf, I followed the trend and made an account just to see what was in there... I guess I was too curious, is it possible to delete my account / unsign the NDA ?

I couldn't find the option on the portal so I guess I need to contact them but I'm not sure this is a good idea...
Someone mentioned that your account is automatically deleted after 3 years of not logging on. No idea if that's true or not.

We do that every day with downgrade packs. So no biggie really.
Passive (download only) piracy is actually legal in many developed countries, which leaves only possible civil charges, on par with sharing information obtained from the sdk...
...mirroring the sdk itself of course is more likely to be a crime

You can terminate your agreement anytime. E-mail them, [email protected]

He still won't be able to contribute to the homebrew SDK.

He has to prove he's not using any of the NDA-covered information. Extremely difficult, but possible

Don't worry, after reading this thread I don't plan to as I wouldn't risk it being terminated. I was just curious about the tools Nintendo gives to their devs, but this biding NDA thing is too much to handle for me :O

Sent an email, will see what happens next...

Other people here say it's possible to contact Nintendo and have them terminate your contract, but I don't know.
Either way, no way in 11.0 [get it bc it's 3DS hacking hell] am I signing that contract.

Did you even read the contract? You can terminate it as you please. Contact them and they will handle it
Even if you terminated your contract, wouldn't you still have to keep any information you got from the SDK confidential?

You need to destroy everything. And of course, keep confidentiality. Still better than having an active contract for some people

Yes, but the confidentiality means that to contribute to homebrew you may need to be able to prove where you got your information and that it wasn't from the SDK. Possible but it complicates things a lot.

I think that if you didn't download any of the SDK that would simplify things though.
