So yeah, if anyone could make changes as they see fit or recommend some other options I would be happy to hear them. Obviously the 1070 is out of stock so I would have to wait for that.

I already have an 850 EVO SSD so no extra storage is needed.

It's pretty sweet build, if I were you, I'd spend less on the motherboard and PSU and invest on a Xeon e3 1230v5.

Why?
Since you won't be overclocking anyway, the Xeon gives i7 6700K performance for much less. More on that later if you're intrigued.

I can totally see sense in buying Z170 motherboard with non-K Skylake CPU. You can still overclock it with motherboard BIOS mod, and you don't need to pay extra for it. But if you are planning on overclocking your CPU, you might aswell save up and get i5-6400 or 6500 because once overclocked to the same clockspeed, all of these CPU's will offer identical performance. I own i5-6500 myself and I'm planning to get Z170 motherboard one day just to overclock it (don't need it right now as stock performance is good enough for me). The point is, you don't need to pay extra for "K" letter, as long as you have basic overclocking experience.

The other change I would make in this build is getting Cryorig H5-Ultimate instead of Hyper 212, especially if you decide to overclock your CPU at some point as it is generally a better CPU cooler at still reasonable price.

This is the desktop PC I was thinking about building. It's moving into enthusiast area with DDR4-3200 and overclocking the i5-6600k. It's a bit more powerful and more pricey depending on what GPU I buy. Otherwise its not all different from your build @endoverend.

Alright, wasn't sure if it was entirely worth it
It's really only worth it if you're planning on overclocking. If you are then yeah, get the 6600K, but if you aren't I'd honestly recommend getting a 6500 with an H170 board (just because I'm a cheapskate that likes saving every dollar I can if I'm not going to use a feature)
