1. When making a new acc without NNID linked to play minecraft mario, should I continue playing all the other gmes in that account? saves will be there right? or is it better to go back to original acc?

2. I update games by just replacing the 3 folders from the games with the updated folders from the update. works ok!! Any negative in doing it that way?

About the discovery, keep in mine I don't really know much about all this :)

I am self hosting from android phone using kaflukes guide, a lot times I get white screen stuck
then I keep trying till it works. I noticed that after I made a new acc without NNID linked it haven't
failed a single time yet!! maybe someone with can test that out. will be cool if that is the case.

The fail is usually random, I don't think it's related to the NNID, but maybe it is.
Continue to do it with the non linked account, see if it fails or still work fine after few days.

About your question :

1) I'll go the long answer:
The console is using two different folders to save a savegame : one private (linked to the Mii ID) and one common (for shared data, like unlocked tracks that other family member can enjoy, etc.).
Loadiine has two different modes for the savegames :
- Acting the same way that the console (one private per Mii + one common folder)
- Not caring about accounts at all, and using the same savegame whatever the selected MiiID is.

By default, loadiine is set to the "shared" mode. all users are sharing the same game progress.

so, if you never changed the settings and if you started playing a game with your Mii linked to NNID, then you can continue playing it with the Mii not linked to NNID.

in case you set the save mode to "unique", you can convert them to "shared".
1. set the save mode to "shared" in loadiine settings
2. on your SD card, rename all the wiiu/saves/game title [ID]/
common -> c
800000xx -> u
(rename the "common" to "c", and the folder with the number to "u")

2) About the updates
You can replace the original files with the update files. it works fine.
But in case a new update is released and break compatibility, you might want to revert to the "clean" game state or previous update version. replacing the files is not the best method to revert files.

Loadiine let you put the updates in a sub-folder, and load the update files in realtime.

Advantage of replacing the files : you are saving space by replacing files.
Advantage or using sub-folders : you can switch different update version, and revert to a previous version. (MK8 for example doesn't work on MiiMaker if you have an update, but works fine with SSB Mode)

disadvantage of replacing the files : you can't revert the version to a previous state if you didn't keep a clean game copy.
disadvantage of using sub-folders : it takes space on your SD card.

If you are using a game mod, for example a fan translation, or game hack to get new tracks on Mario kart 8, then it's better to use the sub-folder method. This way, when a new patch or mod or hack is released, you only replace the sub-folder, you don't have to repatch the game.

I don't know why Tokyo Mirage uncensored patch is not using Loadiine's update method instead of forcing the users to keep and repatch the clean game every time as they are providing the game files in the patch release.

I can play Minecraft with an account linked to NNID, but discover accidentaly. Onde day my son was playing it and I figured it out that he just started wii u with his account that is the standard to start system and never needed to change user...

Thanks a lot Cyan for the information.

"I always switch to my non linked account to play Loadiine. I don't even know why, it just turned into a habit." I would of do the same if I did new acc earlier.

Yeah I will keep checking, can be just luck!!

One last question for now, when I did the new acc I setup tubehax, it keep asking me to put a ssid, so i put a fake one in order to save. in the other account I deleted all the wifi connections and only left my hotspot setup. Does that mean tubehax is not longer there, since I delete the ssid? not that it matters much since I do android host so not chance in getting update but just to know!

Too bad :P
At least, you know it can work great sometime.

About the SSID, if you deleted it, then the console will not connect to internet at all. (won't find the router)
You can't even launch the browser to access the URL used to launch the homebrew launcher, right? unless you use a local host like you said, but it needs the SSID of that hotspot too.

But the network setup is not tied to a specific account, it's a global setting. If you delete it with one account, then the other one won't access internet either.

Hello,
yeah, I deleted my wifi ssid in both accounts. I just have the hotspot ssid from android phone.

Yeah it was too funny, never failed once in like 5 days. then suddenly it did it. too bad I thought that it was the answer for
the constant failing and I was going to post good news lol.

Anyways, what I do is after I get the initial page I wait few seconds (maybe like 7 o 8) before I click homebrew channel.
I guess it works better for me that way and it doesn't fail as much or at least it's placebo effect. :)

Look up what a Race Attack is, then thank dimok and possibly others for making it more reliable. It's definitely a placebo. I haven't had a fail in 3 months and I have an NNID attached, and it's my only account. It's more about the browser's memory (from the browser save I mean, idk hard to explain) being aligned or some shit I think. Or at least use to seem that way. Haven't had to reset since dimok updated the exploit though.

Edit: As for Minecraft, I never was able to get it working. I never tried a new account without an NNID, though I've seen it mentioned in the past. Hopefully that'll not matter for anything either someday.

Oh thanks for that information, though I am talking about self hosting with android hotspot.
Before I did that way thanks to kafluke's guide and help. I was using online loadiine.ovh
and it never failed, not even once. Weird or super lucky? anyways I though ok from self hosting
for sure will never fail since it's right there. LOL wrong. That browser memory thing sounds complicated.

About minecraft (mario edition here) I never try it in normal acc since everyone says it didn't work that way.
I did new acc without NNID and game worked fine, I even updated it and the save still worked.

Well, I do self host. I don't use guides though, and I use my PC. But all the same, it really is a little complicated underneath. It use to be really unreliable. Could work couple days in a row then you might spend couples hours one day getting it to run without changing anything really. Then next day it works on 3rd try, then 1st, then 2nd etc etc.

It's much more reliable now. I think the main thing now is to start with a clean browser when switching between self hosting and online hosting really. That and a little luck. Like I said, it is much more reliable than before. That's what I always do anyway. Seems to work a charm on my own, but I also haven't switched in a while.
