I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of how this will turn out.

From what I have read it goes something like:
1. system transfer both on emunand o3ds>n3ds.
2. extract emunand from tiny 4gb card
3. inject emunand into 32gb over old emunand
4. reboot and hope I don't have to restart the 3ds 3 times to get passed the finishing stuff

So the thing is, the 32gb is formatted for a o3ds so the emunand size is smaller. Logically this means the partition is as well. So before I do what I assume is obvious, do I have to? Or is the process different now? I am using the same 32gb SD card in the n3DS.

1st. Backup everything in the o3DS sd card.

2nd. Using Emunand9, create a .bin file of the emunand.

3rd. Eject sd card and put the .bin file on your desktop.

4th. Backup everything on the n3DS sd card.

5th. Put the n3DS sd card in an adapter and put it into the o3DS with Emunand9 open.

6th. Press B once the sd card is in.

7th. Go into sd format options and click Format SD (No Emunand)

8th. Once it's done formatting, click complete Emunand setup.

9th. Eject SD card and put it into the computer.

10th. Drag the Emunand Backup into the Emunand9 folder and name it emunand.bin.

11th. Put the SD card back into the o3DS while Emunand9 is open.

12th. Click Emunand manager options.

13th. Click Restore file to Emunand and click A when it shows emunand.bin.

14th. Let it do the restore.

15th. Eject the SD.

16th. Take the micro sd out of the adapter and put it into the n3DS.

17th. Turn on your n3DS and go into emunand through an entry point of your choice.

18th. Love your o3DS emunand on your n3DS.

I'm pretty sure this wouldn't work since NANDs are all Console unique, not to mention they're both different hardware making them even more incompatible....

I was thinking this too. It HAS to system transfer, it's the point where it switching the SD cards in is the issue. I'll see how it goes if the eshop ever comes back online.

Backup the Data from both SD Cards in separate Labeled Folders on your PC, Do the Transfer normally until they're both completely finished, verify the transfer was a success, backup the New n3ds emunand to your PC & inject it into the Bigger card, if all goes as it should your N3DS emunand will be in your Bigger card with all data transfered into it

Just remember to back up both Emus before even starting so if Shit goes down you don't lose data

Thats what I was thinking, but the emunand for a N3DS is bigger than an O3DS. So I may need to reformat emunand on the 32gb SD card on N3DS just so it's bigger then inject the real emunand, and reload all my stuff onto the SD card. Shouldn't be hard but tedious.

You will need to Reformat emunand on the 32gb card after the Transfer, I just didn't mention it since I thought it was obvious & I'm lazy :P
Anyways Good luck with all that dumb Transfer waiting Nintendo forced us to do
